Keith, that's great that you were able to get Dyson to replace your cannister free. And I am glad you are so well off financially that 50-75 bucks is not significant to you. If you add the cost of taxes on (depending in one's bracket the actual cost is 78-105 pretax dollars).  I didn't want to spend any more $ on an old vaccuum when I wasn't sure that more wasn't wrong with it. But this line of posts is not about vacuum repairs and costs thereof. Implying that the messages I have communicated in my posts are not valid issues to discuss because of my choice of how I fixed my vacuum is nothing less than an ad hominem attack.  It has no bearing on the message. It's an old strategy, criticize the messenger rather than evaluate the message on its own terms, and it violates basic rules of logic. You should know better than that unless you are just trying to obstruct and sandbag.

The key issue in this line of posts that needs explication is whether or not the use of militarized police swat teams in residential areas is justified and Constitutional, especially when used for non-violent offenders, misdemeanors and missed college loan payments; and how is this use of swat a byproduct of root causes such as high level  govt trafficking in illegal guns and narcotics, and providing training, support and cover to drug cartels and gangs; and is this use of militarized police swat teams for residential home invasions part of a larger problem of creeping tyranmny and the formation of a new america gestapo, which is what some experts refer to homeland security and the TSA as.

Keith, how about and honest discussion?  Why not state your views on whether you believe that the Govt has trafficked in illegal guns and drugs, provided training and supports for the drug cartels and gangs, and whether or not you think 911 was an inside job as hundreds of experts from the military, licensed architects, etc. claim and insider Dr. Steve Pieczenik has stated publicly and even named those who ran the operation.  And do you think the TSA is effective or just creeping tyranny. And cite your evidence.http://www.infowars.com/new-documents-prove-tsa-“mischaracterized”-safety-aspects-of-full-body-scanners/

I will refute the defaulted student loan. The local media made a blunder and took the homeowners word that it was over a student loan. What else was the guy to say? They are investigating me for....

And for the record, I know of several people who have defaulted on student loans, they do not send a swat team to collect, VERY WEAK LOGIC.

Do the research and you will see you are wrong. I would think with your supposed education you would do better research and write with facts and not half brained knee jerk local news reporting.  The source is the damn homeowner. WTF?

Read it and run is your logic, anything to support your claims.  lmao!!!

You might want to get a refund on that PHD. What is the guy supposed to say Mr. Genius?

So, with the great investigative reporting by you I would shy away from the sky is falling fallacy you are trying to preach. WHAT OTHER SUPPOSED "FACTS" ARE YOU USING AS REAL FACTS TO JUSTIFY YOUR PARANOID DELUSIONS?

http://www.rawstory.com/rawreplay/2011/06/swat-team-busts-into-house-over-student-loan-default/

UPDATE: The Department of Education emailed Raw Story with a comment from spokesman Justin Hamilton to say the search warrant and raid were related to a criminal investigation, not a student loan default. The ABC affiliate has yanked its story that made the now seemingly false claim.

“While it was reported in local media that the search was related to a defaulted student loan, that is incorrect. This is related to a criminal investigation. The Inspector General’s Office does not execute search warrants for late loan payments,” Hamilton said. “Because this is an ongoing criminal investigation, we can’t comment on the specifics of the case.”

In 1936 American commentator H. L. Mencken wrote:

The central belief of every moron is that he is the victim of a mysterious conspiracy against his common rights and true deserts. He ascribes all his failure to get on in the world, all of his congenital incapacity and damfoolishness, to the machinations of werewolves assembled in Wall Street, or some other such den of infamy.

Sock, the Dept of Education changed their initial story and now claims suspected educational loan fraud ie that the lady they sought allegedy may have used exagerated info on her loan application. The home invasion was done to make a political statement to ceate fear for those not paying their college loans (many can't get jobs and don't pay for that reason). Doesn't seem to me to be adequate grounds for a swat team home invasion. If it was a fraudulant applicatioon then indict the lady, don't swat her family needlessly.  Exaggerating on a student loan application may be fraud, but it is not a violent crime necessitating a militarized police type home invasion swat raid.  Where I live police often won't even go after bad check writers unless they are serial and over $1,000.  They say it's a civil matter, take them to court.  By the way, no need to get angry or insulting sock, this is just a discussion and no need to try and make it personal.

Keith, if you live close to Miami why not stop by local ABC TV WPLG and ask them about their lawsuit by a CIA proprietary, paid for by the CIA and run by Stanley Sporkin. By the way, if you dig a bit you should be able to get depos and court transcripts with your connections.  I have read most of them.

Nobody wants to answer the question why police use such foul, vile profanity during their swat raids and especially around women and children, young children.  Why do they shoot dogs in cages or dogs trying to run away.  They act like they love it.  Why are there cases of swat police holding loaded cocked handguns to young childrens heads and threatening them with" if you move I'll blow your m*therf***king head off".  This sure appears to be thuggery and tyranny.

Why do some shove old ladies face down to the floor while they threaten them with he vilest language imaginable? No-one wants to comment on the connection between thrill killing of dogs and later murder.  And what would most cops do if a swat team busted in their home in the middle of the night suddenly (wrong home)?  Most officers would grab a handgun and get shot for holding it.  Isn't this a formula for a needless death of an innocent person?  What if the warrant was issued in error from a meth'ed out informant for a non-violent crime?

Personal? No personal is when I call you fat or stupid. I think to have all these conspiracies is nutty. It is very close to paranoid with a mix of delusions. Read the links. You will go to great lengths to prove your fallacies. "Man raided for default on student loan."  I hate to even start looking at any of your other links. This is really the first one and it has holes in it 9 miles wide, but if this is what you need to prove your point, by all means have at it.

I see now it is loan fraud. What happened to you knowing they raided him for defaulting on a student loan? You can continue to spin it how you want. It is your story, your alphabet characters and your issues.

If I was you, I would consider Keiths advice.

Sock, the subject of conspiracism is not relevant to the questions:  is the use of militarized police swat teams for home invasions in residential areas for misdemeanors and non-violent crimes an unnecessary danger to the community and part of a "creeping tyranny" of the US Govt and intel who has been caught trafficking in illegal weapons to drug cartels, training them and financing them, and has also been caught trafficking in massive amounts of illegal narcotics in to the USA. I believe it is wrong for the US Govt and intel to engage in these crimes and that doing so has created warzones in many urban areas, leading to federal funding to militarize the police and use them as a tool of war against civilians.

Many swat teams IMO are no longer police, but a military attack force like a black ops "wet boy" team or spooky team, primed to shoot but told to hold their fire until they see a weapon (hard to do when the adrenalin is flowing).  I have questioned the bad attitude of swat team members and some police who needlessly shoot harmless, beloved family pets and use the vilest profanity to threaten women and children and put guns to their heads and slam them to the floor. I  cannot accept the secret BATF crimes such as operation Fast & Furious which resulted in the murder of at least one US Border Patrol, and this officer was highly regarded and respected and WAS NOT a "thumper".  I cannot accept secret intel illegal operations to import massive quanitities of narcotics into the USA under the legendary "controlled deliveries". Ponder this, why don't police shoot suspects in the back when they are running away?  Answer: (in my state) it's not legal unless the suspect has a weapon levelled back at the officer or has shot at or wounded the officer.

And I've got some good news for those of you who have expressed concern about my old Dyson vacuum and were worried about me repairing it.  While I was in the process of fixing it for use as my carpet vacuum, I bought a $750 Lindhaus upright for use on the stairs and edges and basement. Expensive yes, but very well made and I am happy with it. It's very resistant to clogging.  My old Dyson works fine as long as I keep the cones cleaned out once a year or so (that's about how long it takes for them to get plugged up with GSD hair again), but I'm glad I didn't put any more money into it because it is getting beat up after years of frequent use.

It is you bringing up all these conspiracies that do not belong in this thread and therefore my saying it is what it clearly is.

I have a question for you and then I will answer your questions.

How many times have you been the lead guy on a raid or how many raids have you been on?

Slamdunc

LMAO!  He has as much experience with SWAT teams and police tactics as he does with working dogs.  But, YR said he has a PHD that makes him a genius and an expert on everything.

Awesome stuff being posted here.

Preston, where is your buddy uglydog when you need him?  Have the feds got him yet?

First of all I made points about factual occurrences and then commented on their significance to some RICO criminal conspiracies at the highest levels of US Govt including NSC and intel which have been well demonstrated in the major mass media. No-one doubts that operation Fast & Furious was a secret, illegal operation by BATF and no-opne wants to admit planning it or ordering it.  I cited a credible statement by Steve Pieczenik, Asst. Sec. of State under Cyrus Vance, spymaster and the US's top expert in black ops.  He stated in real time live radio that the 9-11-01 attacks on the world trade center and pentagon were done by the USGovt and actually named the names of those responsible (neocons) leaving out the name of the AF General who was responsible.  He said he would disclose this before a federal grand jury or prosecutors in order to unravel this high level crime done by high govt officials.

Sock, there is a difference between conspiracy theory which the Govt has projected for the false cause of 911, knowingly lying according to Dr. Pieczenik in order to cover their crimes up (mass murder, criminal conspiracy ie RICO, treason, accessory after the crimes, obstruction of justice, misprision of a felony, perjury, etc., etc.).  What Dr. Pieczenik has disclosed publicly is no conspiracy theory, it is based on facts that he witnessed personally, such as statements made to him by the actual perpetrators.  And he is willing to testify to such.

Sock, you say that what I bring up are conspiracies (ie theories).  I say they are facts, except for the higher level criminal conspiracies like the purposefull militarization of the police and increasing tyranny, which have been accomplished by the commission of actual well documented RICO crimes such as training, supporting, financing and supplying drug cartels and gangs with illegal weapons, and helping them import and sell their illegal narcotics while splitting the proceeds for "off the book" revenues. Hundreds of witnesses would come forth if given immunity at a truth commission or a federal grand jury. If Sibel Edwards was ever allowed to testify  openly over 100 top govt officials and politicians would be indicted and arrested.

And to answer your two questions, sock, it's none of your business. And if I had or hadn't, I would neither confirm or deny such to you. One thing you can go to the bank on however, is that both of my vacuums work great, especially my old beat up dyson which just keeps going.  It's one tough unit.

Ya and poor innocent old man Mr. Davis (one of Jose Guerena's distant neighbors) was hit in the chest by one of those 71 rounds and died in his own home and went unnoticed. Found in his home dead long after because of the smell of decomposition.

Like why was SWAT armed with Slap Rounds ? Phuckin' Slap Rounds ?

Also according to the leaked Arizona government documents this Jose Guerena case is a "Tort Immunity".

Unbelievable.

RIP "Old Man" Mr. Davis.

Slamdunce, I never said I was an expert on GSDs or vacuums.  I have had a lot of contact with individuals involved in investigating the matters I have remarked on and I do have a good grasp of the evidence. I have worked with police years ago and have a fairly good understanding of the conflicts and issues they have to deal with.

Slam, as a police officer do you think thuggery, assaulting women and children bystanders in swat busts, use of excessive force and vile profanity and senseless killing of beloved family pets is oput of line.  Are you concerned with the numerous mistakes made by swat such as wrong addresses, mistaken affidavits, use of swat for unpaid college loans, or non violent crimes or msidemeanors?  Do you think its okay for thumpers to exist in a dept.  One of the depts in a suburb of my city by allowed a thumper to continue on after several incidents should have been dealt with.  He ended up causing the dept to lose a million dollar plus suit for use of excessive force. His use of vile profanity in front of witnesses drove the damages up.  And none of his excessive force was necessary at all.  It was simply bullying and thuggery, but he didn't realize there were witnesses.  He was transferred to school duty instead of being fired because he had links to intel.  Do you think this is good for the police dept and the citizens?

Now slam, are you going to state that there was no secret BATF operation Fast & Furious, or tell me you believe this was legal?  Are you going to tell me that the murder of the US Border Patrol Agent was okay and that Fast & Furious didn't cause it or contribute to it?  Are you going to tell me that the govt and intel does not NOW bring in massive amounts of illegal narcotics for "off the books" funds?

It seems to me that if most citizens understood what was occuring in these matters they would want this high level corruption stopped. Do you think is it right for michael chertoff to make so much money off of the unlicensed, unregulated Xray scanners at the airports?  Seems to me this is major conflict of interest. Do you think the TSA has done a good job preventing terrorism or do you think it is a bogus organization?
