I do care what other people do with animals when it is abusive and cruel. I don't know when 'caring' became a dirty word to some people. No-one talked about putting animals before people......but honestly, the way some people 'think' and behave I would definitely put animals before them - no question.

WHO is out of control here??

Paul, I do care and if you don't, well that is your business. I believe that we are morally obligated to advocate for and protect those who don't have a voice, namely children, the elderly and animals. It's not a matter of choosing one over the other. Abuse and cruelty are not acceptable whether its toward a human or animal. And yes, I believe even animals raised for food should be able to live in humane conditions until they are killed. And no, I'm not a PETA supporter, but I do care about the suffering of others and I do what I can to help those in need. To bash efforts such as with the Aluk dogs. speaks volumes. Btw, are you a breeder?

I am not a breeder. My problem is not people who rescue animals. My problem is others and laws that legislate morality. I do not think any old lady (anyone) ought to own 500 cats, but I also do not think anyone should be able to stop or prevent them from do so. I do not have a problem with stopping abuse and cruelty, but what is it. How skinny is too skinny and who gets to decide? How hard can one hit a dog with a stick? Do you see my point?

To the rest of you.....My opinion is you should live your own convictions and do not try to control others to live them. Let me give you some examples. Who thinks I should be able to come in your house and decide if it is clean enough, or if you children are obedient enough, or make you recycle your car because I think it is too old and ugly and drinks too much gas. This is what it is coming too. Lets face it, most people should not own a dog much less a child. Live your own life. Help others who want your help and mind you own business and work on your own faults. If you do not think you have faults just ask this group of people and they will tell you what they are. LOL Have a great day.
