Kelly,

Are there small steps to teaching a dog that or do you pretty much just put them on there.

Deanna, absolutely.

troublelinx, I assume I'm not the Kelly you're asking, but there is a method to fine balancing work to teach a  dog where to put their feet and how, to maximize safety for the dog...in all weather condiditons.

Troublelinx,

As your dog gains confidence increase the elevation.

I started him like this so he could get comfortable...

The next day...

This is pretty steep...

It goes to the top of our back porch.

Why you little snots......are you making fun of me?  Ok. I'll bite.  Kelly J., why don't you put some oil slick on the rungs of that ladder and make it more interesting.  You know.....more like snowy conditions...... hmmm......icy. No need to go 25' up.  BUT... first check with Kelly C. and find out where to put those feet. (lol)  .......what a crock of.....whatever.

Well, it's nice to see some humor, instead of fangs!
