This is a really great ball on a rope...My dog LOVES it. Its very tough and has a mint scent. My dog has never tore his up. Although the maps do come off occasionaly it doesnt affect the ball.

Agree with some of the others, good way to build conflict.  Sometimes people jump to the defensive side when they are critiqued on their work.  I do not proclaim to be an expert, there for I would take advise if is sound advise.  Sometimes we train a reaction or behavior from a dog that we do not intend to.  I think that you are headed down that road.  Dont talk offense I have been there as well and will be again.  Gladly I train with people that make me better, always learning more effective techniques.

BTW stop feeding the dog the ball make him reach for the ball!!! Builds drive.  Considering this is still a puppy you are a bit rough.  There is a neck attached to the head.  I would post the dog and use the soft leather rag on the rope and build drive by making him miss,  you must build fusteration, that builds drive.

Good postings all of you. I am a first timer and am trying to build / improve drive in my 4.5 months old puppy. So all these postings help a lot but ............ finally what is the correct thing to do here .....I dont get it. Can anyone explain a bit clearly to a newby.

Thanks

These are the balls on a rope that I use.... I LOVE them and so do the dogs. I have NEVER had a rope come out either in one of these..
