My father was in the Air Force in the 60's serving in Vietnam. I was made in Japan. He made it home to the US safely and joined us several months after I was born.

One thing that sticks out to me, no one seemed to worry about children getting kidnapped off of the street here like we do today.  I certainly had a lot of more freedom (or my mother cared less) than my kids had at the same age.

I remember all of the songs being played, not really aware of all  the turmoil going on, but knowing every word to what was playing on the radio.

I had my first GSD as a kid.

America in it's baby boomer innocence  clung to the hope of a camelot  once more! Bobby epotomized that hope but  it was not to be!  One who could have sucessfully united the american peopl like his brother did ! Although the kenndeys' had a lot of skeletons in their closet   they were very astute politicians and had  their own money  to use! therefore the  influence peddling was ineffective and the lobbiests were a mute issue! Probably why they were murdered!

Raymond,
I agree, there will never be another John Kennedy.
He had the balls to stand up to every thing that was holding this country
back. He paid the the price, a man with real courage. In war and peace.
Hank said it best, everybody was in tears when he was killed.

You are right . Seems like people had more concience than they do now. People would see things going on that didn't look right and they would respond to it. Now it's almost like people just don't want to get involved.

Hank
