SP
You made this statement...I would like to adress it so it does not
come up again.
You have mentioned numerous times that you have won how many nationals and whatever. I never took you serious. that is bragging.
Now quit using my name.
SP,
I think that is unfair of you. The only other time I remember was
when I was being insulted. I don't bring it up....That is not numerous
only 2 times that I now regret.
I won't bring up your name, and no one says you have take me seriously,
but you should afford me some civility. Some of the people here know me.
So I don't need to brag. I have never attack you like you just attack me.

An attack, you have to be kidding me. You do not have more of a backbone than that? Try all the attacks and made up stuff that has been leveled at me. Good grief.
Just quit using my name.

Professional trainers can make lasting impressions-I will always remember the name and negative attitude of a well known professional horse trainer I encountered during my visit to the Appaloosa World Championship back in the late 70's.
I have been fortunate in training with professional Obedience, SAR, Schutzhund and K-9 trainers-these are the people I continue to recommend to individuals when they seek me out for information and solutions. I also suggest the ones I feel they should stay clear of.

Sp,
I was the on;y one who defended you when the lynch mob
wanted the hang you for the alleged cyber attack on Oli's system.
I stuck my neck out for you,...you owe me.
I don't know any other way to help those who are new. I was
trying to include them and encouraging others to do the same.
The problem is ........most the people who post here are not
dog trainers or have very much time competing. So they out
number the ones that do by 200 to 1. And people like me are almost
virtually non existent.
Your first post that got deleted was much more insaulting. I did
not put that one up. But you know what I mean.

Max just drop it. I had plenty of supporters. Some
just supported me behind the scenes as we all knew
those allegations to be false. I appreciate what you
did as you knew I had nothing to do with the alleged
hacking. I have no ill will towards you. We never have
had words or anything. You just think I am out to get
Moons and yourself. I have always been nice to Moons
until Moons started having problems with the site and
I tried to help. I had nothing to do with Moons problems.
I am trying to help with the little bit of computer knowledge
I have. I have done nothing but try and help him. Just drop all this.
Why do you keep cutting off your sentences? Like
this.

I believe you are trying to help that's why I take the
time to talk to you. But this not about Moons.
Moons can take care of himself. I just say
now he can use the same support I gave you.
Both of you have a flair for saying things that
I would rather stay neutral. But Moons has
never gone after me even when my French sense
of humor was strange.....You can say what you
like about the French,..they are anti American,
arrogant,...Vain. But the one thing about the French
is they don't like to see some one get ganged up on.
It does not matter if it is you or Moon, or Maggie.
The French in me comes out. It is looked at ...as cowardly and
unmanly to do that.
So,.. 7 hail Marys and 7 our Fathers and you
are forgiven...!!.
If the history books will bare me out, there was a French battle ship or pirate ship
that helped the Americans. I will drop it now.....I don't know about shorting a sentence.

PL,
Excellent point! Constructive criticism has many different meanings to different people. And when you roll egos in with it, Hmmnnnn? I've been on here for a couple of weeks now and in reality there is a wealth of knowledge and information available by multiple individuals. I can already begin to see the ones I am beginning to admire, beginning to respect, beginning to pay attention more closely to. Beginning to research their info, kennels etc; etc. And to one day buy one or two more GSDs for my goals and dreams. You see it over and over on the Threads. "To better the breed"! etc;etc. Individuals are going to have their ideas, someone else's ideas, someone who is famous in the GSDs world ideas. Ideas of the founding fathers! But in all honesty the majority if not all of who they are in reputation, noteability, credibilty and even possibly wealth is because of the dog itself! Of course there was training, and bringing out what the dog can do and has inside and finetuning it. But it's the dog. I guess my point is along the lines: If I go to this kennel and buy this import for explosive detection (green), (this kennel supplies a good percentage of dogs to the federal gov't, downrange, law enforcement agencies across the country/world etc;etc). Now I take that dog to another kennel for more training, possibly better and for certification. How or why is one better than the other? The outcome was a great dog doing the job it was meant to do having many finds making the handler/team outstanding. Like I said, excellent point..... with heart.

My final contribution to this thread that I started;
All of the skills and knowledge we use to train our dogs can be applied to how you deal with people as well, they are interchangeable.
Never end a training session on a bad note

I guess “professional” is a word that has different meanings to different people. Having seen and participated in what the “professionals” have done with the Am. GSD, I guess I have developed a different view of “professional”. “Professional” handlers, “professional” trainers and “professional” breeders.
I have come to realize that a true “professional” GSD person is the one who realizes that the breed goes forward on sound hips and elbows and does not compromise. The true GSD “professional” realizes that there is not only a goal of excellent character, but also excellent structure, as defined by a standard. Developed by the same people who developed the GSD.
I have come to realize that no organization is perfect. And regardless of my personal views and what I consider wrong, whatever corruption can be uncovered, such an organization is necessary. To bind the true “professionals” together. To insure that there is some consistency in the GSD for those who seek it.
The true “professional” may not always stand at the front of the ring, may not always score the highest points, but they will always present, to the best of their ability and understanding, what a GSD should be. And that dog can be judged by the world, according to what the world has determined a GSD should be, not some foolish person, who greatest accomplishment is to keep runs clean.
And the true “professional” will waste little of their time concerned with what their neighbor does. They know and understand what is correct. They seek to produce what is correct. They do not know this from reading a “Kohler” book, from seeing a dog knock a helper over, from reading posts on the internet. They know it because they wish to know it. Because they learn from success and failure.
