Two Moons

Sunsilver has a point,
She may very well excel in tracking.

I'll look into it, Moons.

Tracking would give her something to direct her energy into, and it would be fun, too.  I don't know a thing about training for tracking, as my experience is limited to obedience, but I'll research it.

hi steph,
i just want you to know that it is because of people like you, that go above and beyond, that these dogs ever stand a chance. i`ve read on here many times about the love and compassion you have for all your dogs, and it is a priviledge to just be able to know that there is someone out there that would miss a mortgage payment, walk to work, go without eating, to take care of these animals. you are what this world needs so much more of. please keep doing what your doing, because these animals need you. these animals tell you everyday, in there own special way, how much they need you. how much they love what you have done for them. these animals depend on you in so many ways. and if they had a voice, they would tell you. thank you so much for everything you`ve done, for everything you do, and for all you continue to do to give these animals that one chance they would never, ever get.

Oh Crys!

I am so jealous and soooo happy that you are giving this pup a loving home!  She most definitely is special and you are going to have to keep us all posted and provide pix as she grows.   I can't say enough about how special I think you are for taking on this pup and of course how special Steph is for stepping in and rescuing her.  I'm sure we are going to hear wonderful and great things about this pup and all she will accomplish under your kind hand.  Congrats on your new baby!

Thanks HD, Deb, Starr, Okie, Beetree, Sunsilver, Moons and all, I appreciate the kind words. It is badley needed sometimes when things have been tough and slow lately, and dealing with all the idiot people out there...little gals like this one, and finding them that special home, helps remind me, that it is worth it...
Again Thanks all for the kind words, it is much appreciated...Steph

Steph!

You are the one who is appreciated!  Words cannot express just how much it means to me and the others what you do every day to help those who cannot help themselves.  The world is a happier place because of you.  Don't let the idiots get you down!  I only wish I could do the same here.  Maybe some day...

Thank you to all for your kind words!  I also have to say that Steph is a very special person to do what she does, and I wish I had the space to help out in that regard.  Maybe in a few years, I can help out.  For now, though, I am looking very forward to bringing little Oakley home, and it will likely be later this week or sometime next week.  She's being spayed today, from what Steph has told me.

She apparently has a killer nose on her, and knows how to use it, since her eyes are not so good, so I may be picking minds on this board for tips on how to develop her tracking ability.  I've trained dogs before, but obedience is the only field I know, never having trained, as many of you have, for Schutzhund, and many other things too.

I want to say that Steph is an awesome person, not just for rescuing GSDs, but also in her dealings with people.  It's incredible to know that there are still people like her out there.

Steph, thanks for trusting this sweet little girl to me, and giving me (and my family) a chance to love her.

Crys
