Wow, you guys with the kitchens the size of my whole house SUUUUCK! As much as I love my dogs, I might consider trading them for nice cherry cabinets and wood floors, maybe some marble countertops. Ahh someday!

Don't laugh. this is my real kitchen. The cabinets are original (painted white) from when the house was built in 1952. The obnoxious green countertops are original also. Couldn't afford to remodel so I found an old vintage stove and fridge on ebay and call it the retro look.

Triod, it's actually not that bad since you just rolled with it. Many homes like that in So Cal, esp the LA area. I love the vintage appliances. Does the stove have the griddle in the middle?

For the record, Ruby's not allowed on the furniture, much less the island counter; we were making the pic topical. And ocoey, your intuition is correct, no woman would put up with that - I'm happily single.

Beautiful kitchen, great looking well behaved dog, single, with a sense of humor....hhmmmm. I'm happily married so my perspective could be skewed but I sounds like a prize to me.
