Von Hena-C does NOT work, and the dogs are routinely bred before hip certification.
That said, if you just like the DDR look, Pam has some pretty dogs.

Could someone enlighten me what to consider when talking DDR dogs/puppies. How pure are they?
I checked a few pedigrees through the links on here and cant see very much "DDR blood" apart from "poppitz"
As far as I know their is only one remaining DDR line, the line 13/13A. And there are just a very few breeders in the former DDR keeping this line up.
All the best

Ulf ,
This is what you will find in the majority of kennels claiming ddr dogs. They all have repeats of the same bloodlines
Some are boasting show stasis for which true ddr dogs would never be found. If you just want a pet to lay at your feet these are the kennels to choose from. There are some real ddr breeders out there. You have to root them out.

That is correct.

I myself have been looking for a DDR dog. I have received many PM's regarding such, plus have spent numerous hours checking out this kennel and that kennel.
I am anything but an expert on the DDR lines, but believe me, I'm getting there. Check out this website, and these dogs. They are AWESOME, EXCELLANT bloodlines ,,and the big PLUS is they are raised, with personal contact.
IN MY OPINION, a Big Plus for ANY dog you want to compete with, and have a relationship with, at the same time.

I can personally comment on Boeselager Kennels, I have known the breeder for a fairly decent amount of time (almost three years now, I believe) and she is upfront about her dogs, and she has gone above and beyond to make sure her pups are in great homes. If she suspects a puppy isnt in the best home possible, she does everything in her power to get the pup/dog back.
She works her dogs, there are pictures to document said proof, and she seems to have a firm grasp on the ideal temperament and lines she desires to produce.
She lives in my home state, and has always been more than kind and open, and has invited me to view her kennels/home in the past, which is very important to me.
She has also helped keep tabs on two former dogs of mine, while I was ill, which she didnt gain any bennefit from it, she just did it out the kindness of her heart.
Kelly is a good person, I respect her greatly, and I know that she stands behind what she sells.
