Hi Senta,

In the USA the dogs are AKC registered with full peidgrees, BUT the AKC does NOT require tattoo, microchip or DNA!!! In years past it was also this way in Eruope as DNA not yet being done. It was more the 'honor system' that the registry trusted the breeder to tell the turth. It is still this way with the AKC, they trust the breeder to tell the truth....not the best method!

... with security not the best method. I think that DNA tests are the only method for proof - good and clearly. Although - if I cannot trust a breeder , I buy no dog with this breeder also - whether he sends a photo to me or not ; -). And because I am completely certainly located to the breeder in person opposite and speak with him, I see whether I can trust him or not. And if he would show me such a photo - it with large probability any longer would not trust him. For me - completely personally - photos cannot be a proof and already not at all, if there is only one bad photo in the darkness.

I do agree that DNA testing is fantastic - and I wish it was done more ofen and more widley accepted.
