Now I get it.  You are the same person who ridiculed Shelley about a lost puppy.

and I would've gotten away with it too, if it wasn't for those pesky kids and a dog named Scooby Doo.

CSI fans, nobody said anything about them knowing a new address. The hillbillies said he had moved. This was a last known address, believed to be a current address. In LE, we call this a lead. And we try and find bad guys by going to everywhere they might be, to serve their warrants on them.

Who cares. I'm over it.

* The deputy did not have to challenge the dog and get past it. There was nobody being assaulted, raped, mugged, killed or injured between the dog and the house. Those would be reasonable circumstances to shoot. Seriously, you need to keep in mind the big picture.

1.)  Knowing he may have the wrong address

&

2.) There was no emergency situation that warranted the deputy to create the potential for shooting the dog.

When he was a few feet away from the dogs reach, do you think his adrenaline was flowing and he had tunnel vision and was so nervous that he had to make the decision to charge in past the dog?

My point is, he didnt THINK about what could happen by approaching the dog. And given that this was possibly the wrong address, that was his responibility. He failed.

OMG. I'm sorry for your loss.

Seriously,  the point about the new address is that they have it now,  and have done nothing about it so obviously it was not something that needed to be "rushed" or rather I say Max needed not to been "rushed" by this deputy, as of yet the warrant has not been served at the new address to the subject.  things that make you go mmmmmmmmmmmm

The stupidity of people in power. Geez. When I think of the thief -gov't cop who extorted, yes extorted,a puppy from my family, threatened me,my family and also threatend to kill my dogs if I didn't 'give' him a puppy. He said he would also put innocent people {citizens}  and his innocent employees in jail just because he was mad. makes me sick. too many weirdo's in power positions. Many or some LEO and FEO are responsible people. Someday I would like to meet them. They must be out there somewhere. My Chief of Police is a decent guy, runs a good department and does help and lead the people he is in charge of..his officers and his citizens. One of his officers killed a guy while driving drunk and on his own time in a car accident. He wound up indicted and convicted.Still,  he belong's to the 'good old boys club' .When I reported the crimes commited upon my household, there is no report on paper. Seems it went missing somehow.hmmmm.???  Being a fairly good guy my chief tried and ,in fact, did to some degree, help.  Nevertheless, the thief who threatened me,my family and my dogs goes unchecked and apparently has a long history of this behavior which I found out ex post facto, after the fact.To top it off, he is one of those people who see's no problem putting fake papers{pedigree's} on dogs and showing, breeding and selling them that way.I'm ranting...sorry.

Look at the New Thread    NEW LINK TO HELP MAX  Please  everyone go there and post your thoughts and encourage them to investigate this issue along with other family pets that have been executed by LEO

Whoever posted the link about "precious" the Pit Bull Terrier needs to provide them with that link as well,  and write your thoughts on the phenomenon now known as  "Family pets are executed if they get in the way of Law Enforcement"   as the question... How are we to keep our pets "Safe" if they are not even Safe in our own home, backyard, garage,....

Maybe that's what should go on the poster ??

Just how is a family pet more important than the life and safety of a LEO?  I'm sorry for their loss.  I truly am.  But I think if my son is running through people's yards in pursuit of a felon and he happens upon a dog attacking him that he would shoot the dog rather than be attacked, maimed and possibly killed by said dog.  My son's life is more important than a dogs, especially when he is doing his job.  I pray to God that he never encounters this situation, but if he does I want him coming home in one piece.

No one cares. Let it go.

by EchoMeadows on 03 June 2007 - 02:06

Seriously you represent less than .2 percent of the general population that has shown that they do care here.
