Yes... a dog who can DISCERN an agressor from a harmless child... I tried to build up the protective instinct by having my dogs take care of (cats and children literally) and my property and i'm trying to control the prey drive by having them meet all types of people and animals (my Dog really is angry with STRAYS which are pretty common in our area). It is really hard to be the handler and helper at the same time ...I'm still trying to find what triggers my dog for aggression without pinching his balls...

thank you for all the post. Is there anyway for us (breeders, fanciers, and hobbiest) to come up with a universal way to decide what should be bred and what should not. dont answer that, i know there isnt. too many different people with their own idea of what the ideal dog is. BOB-O, i coulndt agree with you more. all i can do is wish to get more people to think this way, and i quote "One (1) dog, one (1) conformation standard, one (1) performance standard is what it will take to restore the breed to what is once was in years not so long ago. sch is nothing like the old days now back then when max set the test for sch back then most of the dogs were real dogs now every body trys to make it easy to get the points so they can get the high bucks back then very few dogs every made it to sch 2 or 3 unless they realy had what it takes back then the decoy did not hide in bilnd 3 or 6 he would be in different blinds every time they are a few good dogs around that deserve ther titles but to me they are way to many dog around that dont deserve there titles thats just 1 breed lovers opion
