where did it say anywhere that she bought the dog pregnant? You people should read a little more carefully before assuming you know the story.

ohhh ok... sorry I was weeding through the story. Maybe I better just stick to word after word. :o)~

Molly-- Didn't understand your post ("you PEOPLE") as there was only one that didn't interpret this scenario correctly. My original post coincided timely with Melba's. My words "not so perfect pups" was referring only to Syd, or any dog negatively judged prematurely. (My understanding was as your's.) I read the comment about the litter after I posted.

Melba... my hat is off to you! Sorry some peple on this board have just got to assume the worse. Sounds like your girl now has "the good life"!

I'm confused I guess..I thought she bought a puppy from a breeder and the mom of that puppy was 9 months old when she had this pup...right?? Anyway good luck with her and I'm glad she's coming out of her shell...

I would hate to think my original post was misinterpreted Accolades should be bestowed, not a burst bubble to dampen the enthusiasm of an obviously genuine, generous person.

Brandoggy , she bought the 9 month old mother of the litter, not a puppy. The mother was timid and now has come out of her shell. I believe she just wanted to ask if everyone thought she had hit the jackpot on her new girl because she paid just a small price. I think she saved this dog from a life of crap. As she has put it, she will be sleeping by her bed no matter what...

a small price for a great friend. she's got such a personality. she likes to "herd" the cats. anybody check out her pedigree??? at least half of it is good. she's a "lord" great granddaughter. the other half's american. half could be kangaroo:) for all i care.

its great you saved her , have fun with your dog & love her .She needs it and deserves . I really mean the above ,as she has had a hard go already and has been ill used .My advice is to turn this person [ so called breeder in to AKC & humane society due to the above mentioned crowding and breeding of the poor young dog ] I do not however think i would believe this dogs lineage as true ,someone who does what you are saying this breeder done has no clue , no care , and can not be beileved . Also im sorry but I bet your dollar the lineage wasnt DNA much less OFA on both sides of pedigree .I think you got yourself a "dog" a german shepherd , one bought cheaply from somebody who so called "accidentally" let her get bred at 9 months .. very disgracful that they let it happen just guess they were not willing to spend the few dollars to abort her at early term . I feel like this , when you got a female thats in heat and you dont want a litter you dont have one ! you keep her safe and you dont get a litter .I Dont believe in old oh it was a accidental breeding story . When you have a female dog that is 9 months old having pups you should get a boot up your a - s period ! I am, surprised that she could sale the pups for much more than a few dollars as Ive always heard AKC does not register litters from dogs under a year old . I know AKC is not the best on anything but at least they have that ruling hugh ? The other sad thing about this above story is although people like your self have big hearts & good intentions to 'SAVE ' a dog [ which is great ] they actually contribute to creating more as those people who call them selves breeders - will just create more pups& dogs because more people like you will save the day for their profit and business and add to the suffering of the dogs in their care .
