If you read my first post in this thread, you'll see I don't even know who this new von der Suden is. The only von der Suden I know of was Will Beattie, great guy and good breeder according to those who know him well. That's where the dog I spoke of came from, out of Brit and Verona, hence my comment later relating to using Will's kennel name. That seems really really odd to me unless they purchased his business. Usually, you'd check and make sure no one used your kennel name previously before setting up a business and website and breeding dogs under that name. Will's breedings weren't so long ago that it won't get confusing- the dog I speak of was born in 2005, so it would be very easy for someone to believe this von der Suden is his breeder and used to own Brit z Elisu and/or Verona z Pohranicni Straze...get what I mean?
You wouldn't open up your own doughnut shop called Dunkin Donuts, would you?
So, I can't recommend for or against the von der Suden you speak of, or comment on them at all, except to say I hope they pay better attention to detail in their breedings than in their name choosing! LOL It does make them seem amateurish if they weren't aware of von der Suden in the past; I'd question how long they've been involved in working dogs if that's the case.

Okay I was just trying to make sure because you said Brit z Elisu had horrendous hips under the name Von Der Suden so I got a little confused, I understand what your saying now.

NO NO NO! LOL

I don't think you get what I'm saying. Brit z Elisu had FINE HIPS. His son, out of the B litter von der Suden, is a fantastic dog with horrendous hips. He has two parents and a ton of ancestors, so I'm not pointing fingers at anyone for the hips- just stating a fact- super dog with bad hips.
That isn't even what this thread was about! I was merely trying to ascertain how/why this new von der Suden is breeding under Will Beattie's kennel name and stating my previous experience with a von der Suden dog! Good grief!

Ok, I think we're on the same page now, lol. I didn't want any rumors started about poor old Brit.

Anyone who breeds for any amount of time knows that something bad will eventually pop up (whether it be ELBOW DYSPLASIA, hip dysplasia, temperament problems)..whether genetic or environmental. It's how the breeder deals with the situation that determines whether they are reputable or not.
Name of a kennel isn't that big of deal...quality of dogs is a bigger deal...the new Von Der Suden's owner and Cid placed in the top 15 at the 2013 Nationals and made 97 in obedience at the Southeast Regionals with a total score of 279.

Name of kennel is a huge deal if, let's say, you had a very reputable working dog kennel some years back and now some BYB is churning out litter after litter of, say, Cavachons and Mikis and whatever else under YOUR KENNEL NAME. I guess saying using a kennel name belonging to someone else is no big deal would depend on which side of it you're on; the new one who stands to gain from it, or the old one who built it and whose coattails you're trying to ride on.
If the new von der Suden knows they're using Will's kennel name, I think it's very very odd. If they don't, I think they must be new and should maybe consider choosing a different one, this time, checking to see if it's already in use.

Well I sent an email to the Von Der Suden in SC yesterday, if I don't hear from them today through email I will call them tomorrow. I will ask who runs this kennel also because I seen no owner name on the site.
