Actually, I just logged onto that site and have been a member since March of 2008. I just never posted there, I am going to check in there more often now. Thanks for the reminder.

I believe Ravi has a black WL now. Juneau, his first was a SL, a dog that missed the Universal Sieger title by an inch . That was his first ever dog and his young son helped train him. Another good person who contributed a lot to the conversation based on actual hands-on experience, not just talk, yet he was driven away by snide remarks about his SL, a dog that held his own against all competition.
It's not that this slamming of SL's is taken personally as much as it just gets old fast and interrupts the flow of the threads. It's like dealing with the class bully and is counterproductive for those who are here to share and learn.
I've had some pm's from a few with SL's who are interested in a new board, but not enough to get anything going. It may be that the majority of those with SL's aren't reading here anymore or they are satisfied with the status quo. Maybe others feel there are already enough FB accounts. So we'll see where it goes.
Thanks for the input so far, much appreciated.

My Show line is going to be going for her IPO 1 in April. She may be pretty but I wouldn't want to be on the wrong end of the sleeve with this girl. Super high energy and drives through the roof. But I probably bought her from one of the top breeders. I know, my opinion. Who ever disagrees is more then welcome to hold the sleeve for her. (well not really) I'm too protective

That's exciting for you. Good luck!
The dog is my avatar was a female SL too taken back in the day when the 3.5 m jump was still part of the Sch exercises (I think - is that right?). I didn't own her then.

Slamdunc,
If you search the forum you should be able to find Ravi's posts on his training. He accompany's the posts with a video of his progress. He's been willing to explain his methods and theory and show the results. He has an excellent perspective on training overall. I hope you and others can gain some insight from his videos.

Dog1,
I read some of the posts on the tracking and I am very familiar with the technique that Ravi is using. He does a nice job of explaining his theory and application. It seems like a very good forum to discuss training. Tracking is one part of training that I really enjoy and spend a lot of time doing. I still coach people doing SchH tracking but my current focus is hard surface scent discrimination tracking. I recently joined a yahoo forum dedicated to hard surface tracking. It is nice to be able to have a polite, constructive conversation with people that are serious about training.
