sjbo,

Maybe I missed something, maybe a few posts were deleted? I don't really know. I'll second what Bob and Slamdunc stated but in all honesty the choice is yours. You barely touched the waters and I personally thought your passion of your breed let alone training with that breed would be the only "tranquility" (per se) you would need. Not what others would think or say.

Words are a "double edged sword" and throw in mentalities, personalities and the list goes on .....  (Maybe I did miss something and so with that I can not comment)

It is what it is! Bottom line in my eyes is you, (not you personally but all of us), you are either part of the solution or part of the problem. I would think we all have a "inkling" who doesn't have a life, or possibly even owns a dog but in my eyes you had and have something to offer.

That's my .02, if you still choose to leave, Good luck in your endeavors

sjbo, I came here only having had only Am. s/l and then getting a German s/l. Talk about rough sledding. I guess the difference is it's pretty hard to hurt my feelings, unless it's someone I really respect. And for the most part, the people I have come to respect here are too busy with their own dogs (and confident in what they do) to really be that concerned that what someone else is doing really affects them.

I hope you stick, I enjoy your posts. But i will say you are going to have to nut up some. Even the wimmen around here can be pretty rough.

LOL@SSGuy

Everytime you turn around there is always someone making a thread abou leaving here.  What happened to quiet departures.  Its like they want people to beg them to stay.  People come and go.

Need a harmonica playing while reading this.

Jim,

Trade you a Bouvier puppy for Boomer.  Throw in tickets to Kings Dominion as well.

Crap! I had a lovely, thoughtful post prepared, and was about to hit 'send' then there was a glitch when I tried to insert a link and the whole thing went POOF!!

Well, at least, here's the link: www.germanshepherds.com/forum/administrator-messages/133189-message-admins-mods.html

Maybe I'll come back later, and have another go at it. I don't have time right now. As I said earlier, I understand the OP's feelings, and am not posting that link to be hurtful. There are things we ALL can learn from reading the administrator's posts in the above thread.

That was a good read, Sunsilver!

Basically, it is the author's opinion that if one wants to leave a forum, it is best done quietly, so as not to burn any bridges that deny themselves the choice of re-entry into the online and even offline communities.

Flouncing, it is called when one leaves a board in a dramatic style.

I agree, because we've seen it over and over again that taking a little time off from posting, without announcing or denouncing everyone, the site or the Admins, often gives the upset person a little perspective and perhaps they'll even manage to grow a thicker skin.

Just for fun: the ultimate farewell thread!   I've belonged to Tolkien Online for over 10 years now, and this thread is a classic that should bring a smile to your face, especially if you're a veteran of message boards:

(Repeating in desperate crackling tone between sobs )  Good bye cruel world. (throwing myself down on floor, tilts head back, grasps chest) All I wanted was for you to love me. ( sad violin music playing softly in background)    (crying)
