I've had GSDs for over forty years. They never cease to amaze me. I'll share one story.
The Dog before my present one was about six months (working lines) old I was reading something on one sofa (in the prone position) my wife was sitting on another watching TV. She asked me to bring her the remote. I didn't feel like moving. So I said Capone come here, I held the remote out and said bring this to Linda. To my surprise he gently took it and brought it to her. She said wow how did you teach him that? I said I didn't teach him anything I just didn't feel like getting up. Try handing the remote to some other breed. LOL
Anyway from that day on we used him to deliver things all over the house. He really enjoyed it and was often rewarded a treat.
If I touched on the reasons why I love GSD I would just be repeating what has already been mentioned.
