if you like St. Bernards or Newfoundlands
I think they were just blurring out the mini brandy barrel from under his neck

www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/pedigree/479456.html As you can see, firm back, absolute medium size, completely stable in mind. Not a top show winner but at four she has the energy of a puppy. I really like her and was thrilled to buy her back.
I think Geck is a stunningly masculine dog, as are most of the Casa Nobili dogs and the bitches are powerful as well. In photo many are heavy in type, but as always, I would never presume to judge a dog without seeing it firsthand in movement- and in work.
Many of these ads present over stacked, color brightened photos because sellers think it's what buyers want- and many do. That's fine for them, but if you like your dogs to look more natural, that's how you present them in ads to draw buyers with similar tastes. It's just a different niche in the GSD market. Not all niches are positive for the breed, but all anyone can do is their very best at what they are doing. Pointing fingers at others has yet to fix anything in this breed.

Nowadays all shepherds exhibit different looks, I hate the new look of today's American bred and I have been in shows and is unbelivable, but I would never critize any breeder nor say they are no good, is just different..
If you don't like Geck, is ok, but don't say " ohhh, his head..and his rear" ....
and now UberLand too...."ohh he can't get on a 6 foot fence with that rear..and the head isn't correct ..and Geck can't do 15 min of herding"...how do you know this ?..let me see your dogs, because the way you talk, you must own Vegas or something similar....
The standard is not completely followed, is just applied, the closest to the standard the higher seating on a show, that's how they pay for what they are..Geck right now is oversize, for today's standards, but that doesn't take away what he produces..you have to watch his size when you breed, but I love the 25-26 inch looks in a male..
I don't want my male to be 24 inches like it is now...it's opinions and flavors..just don't critize a good dog just because you don't like it..it's common sense, it's being respectful....it's being proper.....
Have you read Geck's Koerung ? ..so the judge was wrong or falsify the paperwork, the same as Geck is a Sch3 ..so they just gave them the Sch3..that is what you are saying..you were there, right UberLand???
This is what I am talking about, wht are you, a 2-3 generation breeder, writting on this board that the accomplishments of one of the hottest dogs around right now, he couldn't attained..do you have proof?
There are new people to the breed ans this is what they come to..the EXPERTS , critiquing everybodys dogs...this is what a lot of you do, day in, day out...
Is there anybody that UNDERSTANDS WHAT I AM TRYING TO SAY ??
And if I may, what is your kennel name/website UberLand? Because based on what you said, you must have some pretty amazing dogs and maybe I can buy one or two

Just for your info, Bravos lines and Haus Beck, tremendous producers, Bravos specially of females..but did you know, both carry the no testes,1 teste only gene?.....so that is what I really look at..you are a 2-3rd generation breeder , like me, and you are touting dogs that produce this fault in males, and you critize Geck for his huge, square, masculine, beautiful head ?!..
Now, what do people like in Shepherds?, cause in my experience, 9 out of 10 want their male to look like Geck !!
and even then, I wouldn't critize those dogs,Bravos nor Mark, as they are/were great producing..I would point out at their faults I have seen in my breedings, but nobody is perfect

I have tremendous respect for those Breeders/handlers/owners who have worked extremely hard to reach the top.
Larus von Batu is my ideal -- gorgeous !

I guess that would be my question.....is the standard really a standard? Or just a guide? Because many of these dogs are radically different from one another, & yet, according to their V ratings, they epitomise the standard. THAT'S why I get confused! Maybe I can find some examples of widely divergent V & VA rated dogs....anyone else that can post examples, please do. And an explanation for how this can be so. And, please, I love them all, I haven't met a GSD yet that I didn't like, I just like some more than others, so no-one need take offense.

Was there REALLY a need to MODERATE that post? Now opinions are being moderated? Seems a bit unfair.
Stacy
MODERATOR COMMENT: What opinion was "moderated". Does an attempt at explaining why an image is distorted become an unfair moderation? Some of you need to get real. I for one, will not ever attempt to explain one single thing here again.

You could just as easily have posted as "yourself" rather than make it seem like a teacher correcting homework.
Get real? There have been about 5 entire threads deleted for people to have to "figure out" why they were deleted. Most of us know why they were deleted. Some honestly do not. There was no attempt to explain from you then.
Do you really think Steve1 was intentionally baiting you or starting trouble by asking why his post disappeared?
I know him well enough to say he's innocent of that and probably confused by it as well.
