Lexi is troubled. Frear agressive when on walks, pulls lead for two hours straight and chews everything in sight.... There are times i think why the hell would i want you for another ten years then i relise that she is mine and no matter how mad she is, she is mine forever and no one would be able to connect to her the way i have. I got her when she was four months and she had two homes before me (not including breeder) She proberly does deserve more than i have given her but i couldnt bring myself to ever loose her

One thing i hate about walking her is that she gets alot of looks of unwanted people (you know the type) One lad said "How much for the dog?" I just laughed and carried on walking.

Hello Geordiegavino,  Perhaps you and  Lexi have been brought together for a reason????  Maybe patience, effort and determination, resolve, care, understanding, or just plain stamina!   We do learn so much from dogs and living with them.  As anyone ever tried to help you and Lexi resolve any of her issues?  When she is at home with you, does she tend to be hyper?

Are you a calm type of person?  Not daunted by challenging situations?  If so, it is well for Lexi that her home is with you.

She certainly ensures to keep you energetic on your walks!!!

PS.  Those types of lad you mentioned, are well out of their depth.  They see the dog as a tough personal loaded pistol - to extend their own over-inflated ego and swank.  However they have no idea!  Probably end up flat on their face at best or swallowed whole at worse.

Regards,
Vixen

SouthernLove, where is that coming from?  I have no tolerance for racism myself, but darylehret said nothing along the lines of your accusation.  I do believe it was meant to be humorous, as I'm sure your post was also, and had nothing to do with your race.   Chill!

Would i sell Izzy, well i have had 4 good offers for her from a Puppy now 14 months old, and she is still with me, as much as i think of her if i thought or really knew someone could take her further than me in the ScH sport then i would consider letting  her go

I think it would be too stressful to sell a pregnant bitch, and studies show if the mother is stressed during pregnancy it negatively affects the puppies.

I often find myself wondering...

Do we do Schutzhund because we have dogs, or do we have dogs because we do Schutzhund?

My dog isn't a commodity.  She's a member of my family, and she'll have a home here until she dies.

Well I clearly have expressed my dislike for showline dogs, if that counts as racist.  You don't have a showline dog do you?  If not, we're cool.  As long as you make up with gsdtravels.

I love schutzhund and I love dogs.  I have the dogs I have so I can compete in the sport.  Some people are not very competitive in nature, others are more competitive, neither is better, just different.
