I can't believe that Julie woman is still using the same picture she used on her Dog World ad since the 80's on her home page.

What a very sad story to read and the photos of "Diesel", the shepherd with  4 ears, are heart-breaking to view. But I am so appreciative to have run across this message board. This is my 1st time on this site and I feel so moved to write my story because I also purchased a German shepherd puppy from Omega Shepherds in Clancy, Montana with the same exact Sire and Dam as your poor rescue dog, Diesel.

My dog was also diagnosed with Pannus when she was about 3 yrs. old. I thought it was the end of the world when I read that Pannus can lead to blindness in a dog. I was crushed to think of my vibrant, young and athletic girl who loved nothing more than chasing after tennis balls would be stopped because she would be unable to decipher the trees that may get in her way. Little did I know that once the Pannus was under control with daily applications of eye ointment that cancer in her lymph system would take her down at 4 yrs. of age. She developed Lymphoma sarcoma soon after she turned four and as much as I tried to keep her alive with chemo-therapy, it was not to be. I had to put her down rather than watch her erode before my eyes and it was the most difficult day of my life. That was about 8 months ago and I still think of her, daily. But at least now I can feel that her illness and eye disease was in all likelihood a result of bad breeding vs. something I did or neglected to do.

Thank you, Stephanie, for publishing this information and the sad, sad photos of Diesel. If possible, can you post his birth date? I would be anxious to know if my dog and Diesel were out of the same litter. My dog was born in 2005. Thank you for taking the time to rescue these poor innocent creatures.
