But not a FEAKING nut case of a half bred gsd, with nerve problems and obviously a degree off of being

You are not helping the matter,  as you must not be able to read this Mystical!

I wouldn't let a minor behavioral issue keep me from getting the testing needed to find out what the medical aspect of her problem might be.  If she can't be controled to go into the vets office, I think I'd look into a muzzle or see about a tranquilizer of some sort (keeping in mind her potential medical issues).  If her issues stem from something medical, treatable or not, you need to know it.  If she has a medical condition, for example, that is treatable, and would free her from many of the behaviors you observe every day, wouldn't you want to know it, even if it was stressful for her to go to the vet?  I surely would.

I wish you the best, and I can understand your reluctance to consider euthanasia.  I, too, would hate to consider it.  But from what you have said, she lives her life in a constant state of insecurity, terror, if you will, and that's no way to live.  You are a threat to her, other animals are a threat to her, everything is a threat to her, even if it is imagined, and not real.  I don't know that I be able to handle that.  I deal with fear in my dogs by refusing to allow it to get in the way.  I don't pet, coddle, or reward behavior that is in any way like what you have described.

As for the food issue, you might try doing a sit/stay before feeding.  Start establishing yourself as the calm leader in the house.  Put her in a sit, then stay, and don't let her have the food until you give her a release command.  At first, if she stays even a second, then she's done well, and the reward is the food and the release command. Work up to a minute or two over time. Never let her push or grab the food from you, though.  With my last three dogs (two of them I have right now), from the very beginning, as small puppies, we worked on sit stay before eating.  I can pick up their food anytime, even during meals, and add stuff to it or whatever, and I never even get a stiffening of the body, let alone a growl or a snap.  Again, however, if her behavior issues are related to medical condition, all the training in the world won't solve it.

I shudder to think of what may have been done to the dog before you got her, but please don't live in her past.  Live in the now.  Don't treat her as though she were damaged goods in need of special coddling...it will only make the problem worse.  If you are determined to try and rehabilitate her, then go for it.  Rule out medical problems as the root, then work on it with a trainer.  And I'm not sure I'd follow YouTube videos as gospel, either, there are millions of videos, probably millions of viewpoints on training around the world.  Talk to a local trainer you can meet, that your dog can meet, and try to work with them, if you can.  You're new to this, so you may need to have some professional help to get this girl rehabbed, if she can be.  There are some very good trainers on this board, as well.  But it is very hard to recommend what to do unless a person can meet the dog in person and see what's going on with her. Descriptions in a post make it hard because a little detail that may be overlooked and not related in your post may be what a trainer here needs to know to be able to better assess what your dog might need.

Good luck to you, bravo for being willing to stick by her no matter what.  I hope you succeed in rehabilitation with her, and that you have a long and happy life together.

And no, you won't get your registration certificate.  When I purchased my first GSD, he came with his blue individual registration application.  If they didn't have it with yours, it's because they didn't have it at all.  She may not be a purebred, either, but you love her, and that's what matters, isn't it?

I'm having a real hard time taking this post seriously.  I think  chains are being yanked here.

If by some fluke it's true.  Put the dog down and don't get another one, as you are obviously
mentally challanged.  Perhaps a cat might live under your care.

If by some fluke it's true,

I would be very sad for the animal and the poor sole who would pay such a price in a walmart parking lot.

Ya never know.

Anyway,
I don't think it is.

Now off I go, high ho high ho, off to work I go, high ho.

Later.

Thank you to Debbie and Crysbuk for REAL advice. I do apologise if it seems like I was not taking anyones advice, I really am. I just dont consider a death sentence to be an option! And as far as being a police mans daughter and being stupid. My father died when I was a child and all I have are pictures. I was raised by my mother and she knows nothing about breeds. I am not stupid. I will get her a cage, and I will look into the vet, truth is I dont have the money right now.

Ok,
Lets say your in earnest,
You have a screwed up dog that cost you four hundred dollars at a walmart,
it's having seizures,
and you have no money for the hundreds you'll need to spend at the vet.

In the mean time the dog is suffering.
Possibly dangerous.

I love my dogs, yours too, and I would have mercy on this one and let it go.
I'm not being a wise ass or being mean, it's what I would do for the dogs sake, and yours.

You should be able to find a healthy GSD puppy from a reputable breeder with papers for $400.00
A lesson learned painful as it might be.

Then you will know what it is like to own a German Shepherd Dog.

I'm sorry for your situation and calling you stupid, you just made a bad choice.

Moons.

I AM SORRY BUT I THINK YOU HAVE ALL BEEN TAKEN IN BY A TROLL !!!!!!!!!!!!

Who feeds their dog with a broom, allows it to sleep on their bed even though it might wake up in the horrors and bite them ?

This OP cannot be for real !!!!!

If she has a fax number then atleast she has a contact for the seller ~~~~~~~ send the crook a fax !!!

(That is if she is for real).

I don't think she's feeding it with a broom but trying to overcome food agression.  Problem is, the way she's going about it is all wrong and essentially amounts to antagonizing the dog when it's trying to eat.
