Slamdunc,
Ears back on this dog too......think she is unwilling to take this guy to the farm? LOL........
Bob, don't worry about armchair QBs. They are often more like "Adam Henrys" who sit in armchairs because they don't know what else to do!

Shelley,
Exactly, and bearing teeth is another sign of insecurity, isn't it? Nice pics.

Any one else have some insecure dogs like these and want to post pictures or video?

I know of "experts" in schutzhund who have done nothing. I hear them critiquing a handler and it infuriates me!! I wish just once, someone would tell them...."I don't understand. Would you please get your SchH3 dog and show me?" That would be where the tailgate would drop and the BS would stop!! <smile>

Dog in prior photo is my female, Orsa ze Stribrneho kamene
http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/pedigree/479059.html
I have lots of other photos of other dogs doing the same thing, including one showline female now recently deceased (in this photo) who Bernhard Flinks worked. He laughed at me when I suggested the show female would eat him, and the first time he started with her, he stopped dead in his tracks, looked at me and said, "wow! She's serious!". She often had her ears back. Bernhard loved her as did I, of course......She always cracked us up because she wanted to bite so badly that she learned if she poked hard enough in the family jewels area, she might get the decoy to move and then she thought she would get a bite. It was the funniest thing....well, maybe not for the poor decoys.
Here is another photo of her on a courage test......Those more experienced here, who have never trained their dog, will surely tell me she was a crap dog......

Way cool dogs in those pix you guys.
Yeah- Portia likes to look the helper right in the eye and tell him all about her misspent youth, her insecure inner child, how her mother snuck outside and whelped her in a muddy hole under the porch... just before she tries to swallow the sleeve.
Ha ha ha ha ha

Hodie,
You have to love Bernhard. He is coming here for two weeks very shortly. He was working with me and Boomer, who was a year old on focus. I had Boomer sitting in the basic position (heel position) and a buddy was swinging a ball on a rope (favorite toy) in front of Boomer's face to work on focus. If Boomer's eyes left mine or if he moved his head he got corrected. I corrected him a couple of times although his focus is really super. Bernhard said "Jim, he's not a chihuahua, correct him like a German Shepherd. Give me the leash." I said "this may not be a good idea." Bernhard stood behind me and popped the leash to correct Boomer. Boomer immediately turned and went for Bernhard's face. My year old dog almost had him, Bernhard is quick. Bernhard said "Ok, Jim you correct him."
Sounds like your female was a great dog. I'm going to check out that pedigree now.
