Congrats 4pack!
I like Chris's idea of Niklas, sounds cool, masculine, good looking
I like that spelling too!
I called my son Derek,(middle name Travis after his dad) I obviously like that name, another name I like is Chad.
The girls names I like are not German I don't imagine. I called my daughter Tamara Ashely. Other names I may have picked if the neighbours didn't beat me too it are Nichole, Cassandra, Brianne. I know,,, pretty common, but I had my kids a while ago! Anyway, all the best in your pickin', let us know what you decide, and how the labour goes!!

Thank you everyone for all of the suggestions. I just came from the Docs with my first pic of the little turd, had a great side profile and it turned it's back, so I get to look at a skull and spine. Already being difficult, must take after dad. Ah well, we will get a better look another time. I just wanted to see it move and that the size was about right. The Doc couldn't get the fetal heartbeat or pic up any movement with an external ultrasound, we got a little worried for a few minutes. Turns out the baby was moving all over the place and looks fine. I feel better having seen it with my own eyes and am more exited to have a name so we can stop calling it "IT". LOL
I'm leaning towards...
Ty Henry
&
Isabella Zophia
but who knows?
Red Sable, I had my 1st awhile ago too, (15yrs) and Breanna was not so common then. Now you can't find a classroom without 1 or 2 kids with that name. I'm tellin' ya, it's hard to find names someone didn't snake from ya before you can put them to use. I had a cousin that used 2 boy names I wanted in the worst way (Dustin) and (Cody).
I think everyone pictures someone they know, if it's a name they have heard before. Bad experience with that person, you won't think to use the name for your baby, like Mysteres examples. Who doesn't want their kids to havea "cool" name and fit in without added difficulty?

How about "seven" for a boy? Seven is a good name, of course Jim is better.
Jim
(it's a Seinfeld reference for those wondering)

Michelle,
I am sure you will find a great name. Just remember this one important thing: Your child will have to live with that name, so choose wisely. Do not pick a name which will cause embarrassment and taunting.
Congratulations to you and your fiance! My co-worker came in with her newborn babygirl Izzy and it was intoxicating to just hold her and feel that wonderful warm baby body in my arms.
Nia,
Ulrich is an old old German male name, and the female counterpart is Ulrike. The nickname for both is usually Uli. Just ask Oskar! Confused yet, lol?
Red Sable,
thank you for saying that Niklas sounds cool, masculine and good looking. My guy is only 8 years old but he can be pretty cool and he is definitely good looking (my husband always says he looks like me, grin). As to the masculine part: We'll wait on wait for another 10 years, lol.

I know with puppies it takes a while to name them, you have to get to know them to see what name fits. Even if they come already named, usually it takes a while to figure out the "call" name. I think parents should be able to take their baby home and take a while to figure out a name that suits.

Chris, babies sure are intoxicating. This ones had me on a high since I knew it was in there. I'm so happy it's probably "wrong". Why it's so hard to find a name, is that we both disagree on what can or will be taunted.

No, never wrong. They get me on a high too, even when they are someone elses. So darn precious, nothing else compares, So sweet and innocent it just brings out the protective mother bear in me.
I often thought if I had one now, I'd be a much better mom, not rush things, just enjoy every change.
I was stressed with the first two, they weren't exactly planned and didn't really enjoy the miracle that they were. I also see all my mistakes now, (in my other 2 ) and I think I could avoid some next time around. Now that I'm older and wiser.

Too bad he doesn't like Gunnar! Still my number one choice. Jaeger is a close second. What does "Ty" stand for? Tyrone, Tyson, Tyger? ... and isn't Henry an English name?'
Want to hear something funny? At a swim meet recently, there was a kid with the last name, "GOODE". Listed as his first and middle initial, you guessed it, was his name, "Johnny B." I think your sweetie is worrying too much! Your kid will make his name right, whatever he is called. I just have a feeling.
