I am truly and sincerely sorry, TM. Toothaches are miserably painful and that really sucks. I hope you are able to get some relief soon.

It wouldn't be this bad if not for the last dentist I went too.
You can't trust anyone anymore.
Long story.
Thanks Sue.
Gotta run.

It is easy to respond to the problem of irresponsible pet owners dropping puppies and kittens by passing a law that requires spay and neuter.
Then, they feel good that they have done something about it.
The problem is, only the people who obey laws will be effected. Law breakers don't even license their dogs much less obey the mandatory spay neuter. They don't care what the law is. They do what they please.
This is an example of punishing the law abiding for the crimes of the law breakers.
I am trying to leave California before things get worse.

Moons, Sensodyne toothpaste really works for tooth aches at least it did for mine. I hate dentists, and put them off as long as possible.

Is the mandatory spay/neuter in Las Vegas for dogs, or the hookers (and their clients)???

"....It works the same way with animals. I visited an animal shelter in Germany once and it was mostly empty even while it was (at the time at least...probably still is) against the law to euthanize an otherwise healthy animal. They are able to accomplish this because people who breed take that responsibility very seriously, those who aren't planning to breed have their animals spayed or neutered and virtually no one allows his/her animals to wander at large. Like dirty streets, Germans see pet overpopulation as completely preventable if everyone in their society does his/her part...."
That's because Germans are organized, and sticklers. They fallow their country laws to the T. When I was younger I traveled on regular basis to Germany and we always said that if you seen someone not clean up after them selfs you knew their were tourists ;)" lol

Excellent posts everyone!
It is true about getting bitten in the ass. I don't have cable or any local channels that come in clearly enough to watch without getting a headache...
I myself didn't know it was coming to pass until a day or two before it passed, it happened to pop up on my yahoo news...And you want to know what I did about it?
In truth, I stomped around complaining loudly about how unfair everything is and how irresponsible people ruin things for everyone. And that I am getting a job transfer to move. I'm Guilty of not doing anything to try to stop the law from passing.
I will once again admit my ignorance and ask for advice from the community on actually helping to protect our rights as responsible animal owners. The next town I move to may try to pass this law too, and I want to be prepared, whether it's to fight it or accept it!
I guess the first step would be to immediately apply for a kennel permit and it goes without saying, license, microchip, keep my dogs and kennels in a condition that I would never be embarrassed if anyone came to visit unexpectedly. Of course also keeping any nuisance noise to a minimum. As it is, my Galan is a barker, so after 7 pm he is in the house until late morning (except for a few minutes to do his business.)
Keith, I enjoyed your post about Germany and the little old lady. Every single day, I am picking up trash from my front lawn and people even throw things over my fence! Fast food wrappers, empty drink containers, cigarette packs. It is infuriating. Today it was large pieces of styrofoam! My puppy spotted it first, so I had to chase her down and take it from her.
If I decide to breed some day I will pride myself on setting high standards and sticking to them, as the Germans do. I'm not leaving any other countries out, including my own. There are many righteous breeders all over the world that I have much respect for.
In this country we are given enough rope to hang ourselves though, and it seems we are doing just that by puppy milling and not adhering to any particular standard, structurally, or tempermentally. It seems so many people in this country have let the integrity of their breeds down, trying to make a quick buck... Not just our German Shepherds either.
Well, I will get off my soapbox here, I didn't realize how badly I was rambling, please forgive my longwindedness ;-)

Moon, there is nothing worse than multiple bad teeth pain. It's right there
by your brain and it's relentless.
I had bad teeth from infancy, due to high fevers and antibiotics for congential
kidney and bladder trouble. My adult teeth came in with very little enamel and
immediatly started rotting. Spent a lot of money and agony over the years, finally had enough
and yanked them all out at 30. AAHHH, relief! I have never regretted it.
Well, I do miss honey roasted peanuts!
