This chick strikes me as a PETA nutcase, to frazzled in the mind to speak clear english and post all the facts. The facts are scrammbled in that head and who knows what is true and what just sounds good?

Oh the poor dog and eeks the damn owner for not wanting him back and for not turning the world upside down to find him.

Don't we have a recent thread about a dog that was reunited after months lost? Shit happens, people pick up dogs found on roadways and drive them out of state. Others who pick up aren't looking for owners, they want the dog. Happened to me.

It's as easy as forgetting to update your new phone # and address when you move, be it tattoo reg, micro chip or tags on a collar, you won't get a call and the road dead ends when the breeder or vet is contacted and doesn't know where the owner moved.

Talking so callusly about a owner/breeder is pretty out there when you don't know them or the circumstances. These people could be in tears still looking, this dog could be from TX and picked up by a truck driver on an interstate, for all we know. How about being a real help and posting pics of this dog and hopefully someone will recognize him? A male GSD is far from descript. Size, color, age, real tattoo #'s would help. How about we get it together and put some real info out there, instead of out of control ranting???

A COPY OF THE E.MAILS (2) THAT WERE SENT TO USA ON THIS DOG WERE RESENT TO THEM POSTMARKED THE 10TH OF NOVEMBER. (THEY NEVER ANSWERED) ADDRESS CORRECT I NEVER GOT A NON DELIVERY(  WOULD BE HAPPY TO SEND THEM TO ANY ONE'S EMAIL FOR VERIFICATION) CHRIS'S # WAS CALLED AS HE WAS THE CLOSEST TATTOOIST I FOUND. IN THE NE AREA OF THE FOUND DOG, I CALLED OTHERS WHO NEVER RETURNED CALLS.
CALLED USA OFFICE THE 11TH THEY WERE NOT IN. SHAME WE OPERATE 24/7 7 ALL HOLIDAYS.

THE TATTOO # IS ACCURATE,,,, NO ERROR.  VERIFIED BY A VET

MANNY FINALLY CALLED SAT THE 14TH. SAID HE COULD NOT FIND THAT RECORD, CLAIMS IT IS NOT HIS TATTOO.
HODIE IS A BULLY, AND PRIVATE MESSAGES WERE SENT TO ME WITH THAT FACT IT IS HER NORMAL PRACTICE.

IF A PET IS FOUND AND WE LOCATE AN OWNER, THEY ARE TOLD WHERE TO FIND THIER DOG.
WE DO NOT GIVE FINDER INFO TO ANYONE   WILL AKC REVEAL AN OWNER OF A DOG? I  KNOW THEY DO NOT.

THIS EXPERIENCE TO TRY AND FIND THIS DOGS OWNER HAS BEEN HORRIBLE AND I WILL NOT WASTE MY PRECIOUS TIME AGAIN.........................................................

Oh good to know, if this is true, then most here don't need to tattoo their dog at all it seems since most people here don't show their dogs. What a whack job.  You did not answer the questions put to you. I seriously doubt that you get as many dogs with USA tattoos (and since no one ever answers from USA you cannot even be sure they are USA tattoos) each week. USA members rarely loose their dogs.

Oh yes, something that you might want to learn too......emails not delivered don't always get the sender a notification. Sometimes they just disappear into cyberland.....maybe someplace you should check out. All of the people reading this will know that Tattoo-a-Pet will NOT make appropriate efforts to rehome your dog should it get lost. They will not notify the shelters, put up posters, place ads in newspapers etc. However, if Julie wants to, she will just give the dog to whomever, whether they have the experience or home situation that is required to have such a dog.

As I said, make sure your contact information is correct with the bona-fide organizations. Other organizations WILL put you in touch with the rightful owner of the dog should you find one who is lost.

Who can even READ all this screaming???? Wow.

I too can't keep up with it all, but I did glaze over the last few posts and 4pack brought up a very important point.
Correct and complete info, dates and places, photos, correct description.
If your trying to find a dog or an owner these things might come in handy, especially good photos and relevant facts.

Just a thought.

Is Tattoo a Pet really doing everything they can to find the owner of this dog ? Or just making a fuss publically to say they tried to find the owner.. when the owner indeed turns up ?

... sooo if your interest is in finding the owners of this dog ... please post your advert links from local newpapers as most if not all local papers publish "found" animals for FREE. You also get FREE airtime on local AM radio hosts.

You act like everyone is online on demand nawadays.

What's the tattoo number of this dog, discription and location .... I'll call it in to the local news paper and radio myself.

Conclusion ... ALWAYS Register your dog Tattoo and Chip number with your county via the State Dog License and Treasury !!!!!
