Pups were born on 3/26, so they are just coming up on 30 days. They are eating really well, and they are showing very nice quality overall. They have good structure. All are coming out of the box now and exploring. They had their first drink of water today!
I have actually communicated with Daniel quite a few turns on the email, and he is a sharp guy, very knowledgeable about computers and engineering. But the rumor mill is not always such a good place to get your information. If there were not false rumors and propaganda circulating out there, Snopes.com would not exist. And, as someone else pointed out, there is always the danger of misinformation propaganda campaigns carried out by competitors. Someone has too many puppies unsold, maybe, and next thing you know, they and their associates raise the warning flag! LOL Go figure!

I will stand by her integrity, and everyone should know that she is ethically good.
i think he just paniced and got worried because he didn't understand the whole situation and he was not getting the reassurance he didn't to be comfortable with the deal, but clearly he ended up feeling very differently about judy because she treated him with respect.

so you don't have to look through the thread to find it here's his whole post following his interaction with judy:
Okay well I will have everyone know that Judy called me and sent me my deposit back right away.
I will stand by her integrity, and everyone should know that she is ethically good.
Since I promised to keep everyone updated on what happens in this matter I will say this...
Judy called me and was very polite and promptly refunded my deposit in cash, and I have no problems with her at this point.
Her comment regarding the other breeders in this matter was that the other breeders should spend their effort fighting breeder legislation and other worthy causes instead of attacking each other.
I think she is right.
In any case, I think there is a lesson learned here and I am just glad I got my deposit back without having to go to court or anything else.
Thanks Judy.

"Here on this list, he has been at least semi-responsible to report that he got his refund (which in my opinion he should not have.. deposits are generally non-refundable, and for good reason). On the other two sites, he has not had the manhood to admit that he may have been wrong, and in fact does not even know Judy.. Or that he was working completely off of rumor and innuendo which Judy has had no opportunity to defend against. "
So apparently Daniel did not go to these other websites and issue a retraction.
Spreading lies and innuendo, just to blackmail someone into getting back your deposit because you "changed your mind"... sheesh.
Gossip is like toothpaste - you can't get it back in the tube.
Speaking purely from a buyer's point of view, I would never expect to get a deposit back simply because I changed my mind. Whaddaya think a deposit means anyway? It's earnest money, promising to purchase, so that you reap some benefit like reserving a pup. So the breeder may turn away other potential buyers... who then may go buy another pup... and then you say, oops no, I changed my mind?
I wonder if Daniel ever got his puppy. Can anything be done about his smear campaign on those other websites?

He may just have hoist himself by his own petard and no other breeder will deal with him!! That type of behavior is a two-edged sword: it lets others know who HE IS, TOO!

He jumped the gun yes, but that is no reason for you other breeders to get together like a pack of wolves and rip him apart either. It doesn't make you look much better.
