Judy is a very nice woman! I met her when I lived in Tonopah. Also B. Andersen on this board is Barbara Andersen of Grand Canyon K9,a very nice lady who shoots very straight with you. I bought a dog from her and am super happy with this dog! It is like she was born here!! Uma is all that I expected! Another is Jill at Timberhaus K9, she too is the same way and I respect that!!!

First off thanks Jerry. Jill seems like a great gal to me as well.  I have been to Judy's place she spent a lot of time with me showing me around. The facility was first rate with some nice nice dogs . I have not seen her dog Arek but in my opinion he may be one of the last of the great ones.  His reputation in Europe as a overall improver of drives, temperament and health  and as a  great sire I think is well earned. Well maybe things worked out for the best. I as a rule do not refund deposits but if I had a client as  worked up as this one of Judy's was i would have given him back his money in a heartbeat.

I was not planning to keep one of these male puppies... MAYBE a female (two extremely nice sable bitches in there, but I think they are spoken for), but now I think I will keep a male. Arek is now ten years old, and don't know how much longer he might be fertile. Last check he was very fertile and virile, but time is working against us, now. I may not get this chance again. I just looked at some of Arek's offspring on this database, and I am impressed. Pluto vom Königswaldereck is super!!!

Pups were born on 3/26, so they are just coming up on 30 days. They are eating really well, and they are showing very nice quality overall. They have good structure. All are coming out of the box now and exploring. They had their first drink of water today!

I have actually communicated with Daniel quite a few turns on the email, and he is a sharp guy, very knowledgeable about computers and engineering. But the rumor mill is not always such a good place to get your information. If there were not false rumors and propaganda circulating out there, Snopes.com would not exist. And, as someone else pointed out, there is always the danger of misinformation propaganda campaigns carried out by competitors. Someone has too many puppies unsold, maybe, and next thing you know, they and their associates raise the warning flag! LOL Go figure!

I know that no one is likely following this thread, anymore, but I have not completely lost interest. In fact, I have found that Daniel Salaaf has posted other negative comments regarding Judy Dominguez on the DDRLegends site and also Leerburg.com. This is ridiculous! No where does he come out and say anything he might have to back up.. just vague allegations about "horrific" things he's allegedly heard, emails, and so forth. General character assasination stuff. What I just noticed an hour ago is that Salaaf just joined this forum on the same day that he posted the negative comments on this site, which cannot be a coincidence. Apparently someone told him to do it, probably saying that it would be sure to get his refund. It's a shame that this blog is (in my opinion) misused in such a manner, but that seems to be the trend. Here on this list, he has been at least semi-responsible to report that he got his refund (which in my opinion he should not have.. deposits are generally non-refundable, and for good reason). On the other two sites, he has not had the manhood to admit that he may have been wrong, and in fact does not even know Judy.. Or that he was working completely off of rumor and innuendo which Judy has had no opportunity to defend against.

Never go into a deposit or contract till your sure. All your questions should have been answered before deposit, so no matter how bad  this can get it is your fault for not doing the work. Im sorry for your trouble but until buyers learn ,then this will keep happening . Maybe we need to teach how to avoid this and not deal after the fact. Ask on here or other forums you will get an ear full, check google, find other breeders in your area, trainers, and vets. best to you

i think you need to re-read Salaaf's posts on this thread because he added this after he got judy's attention:

I will stand by her integrity, and everyone should know that she is ethically good.

i think he just paniced and got worried because he didn't understand the whole situation and he was not getting the reassurance he didn't to be comfortable with the deal, but clearly he ended up feeling very differently about judy because she treated him with respect.

so you don't have to look through the thread to find it here's his whole post following his interaction with judy:

Okay well I will have everyone know that Judy called me and sent me my deposit back right away.

I will stand by her integrity, and everyone should know that she is ethically good.

Since I promised to keep everyone updated on what happens in this matter I will say this...

Judy called me and was very polite and promptly refunded my deposit in cash, and I have no problems with her at this point.

Her comment regarding the other breeders in this matter was that the other breeders should spend their effort fighting breeder legislation and other worthy causes instead of attacking each other.

I think she is right.

In any case, I think there is a lesson learned here and I am just glad I got my deposit back without having to go to court or anything else.

Thanks Judy.

DDR does acknowledge that Daniel reported he got his deposit back:

"Here on this list, he has been at least semi-responsible to report that he got his refund (which in my opinion he should not have.. deposits are generally non-refundable, and for good reason). On the other two sites, he has not had the manhood to admit that he may have been wrong, and in fact does not even know Judy.. Or that he was working completely off of rumor and innuendo which Judy has had no opportunity to defend against. "

So apparently Daniel did not go to these other websites and issue a retraction.

Spreading lies and innuendo, just to blackmail someone into getting back your deposit because you "changed your mind"... sheesh.

Gossip is like toothpaste - you can't get it back in the tube.

Speaking purely from a buyer's point of view, I would never expect to get a deposit back simply because I changed my mind.  Whaddaya think a deposit means anyway?  It's earnest money, promising to purchase, so that you reap some benefit like reserving a pup.  So the breeder may turn away other potential buyers... who then may go buy another pup... and then you say, oops no, I changed my mind?

I wonder if Daniel ever got his puppy.  Can anything be done about his smear campaign on those other websites?

He may just have hoist himself by his own petard and no other breeder will deal with him!!       That type of behavior is a two-edged sword:  it lets others know who HE IS, TOO!

I agree with justcurious.  Danny panicked, which I think is understandable, (he probably read all the horror stories on this board,) than he righted his wrong.  I know I didn't think any worse of Judy after reading his posts, actually, I respected her.

He jumped the gun yes, but that is no reason for you other breeders to get together like a pack of wolves and rip him apart either.  It doesn't make you look much better.

by jayne241 on 06 May 2009 - 22:05

I'm commenting from a buyer's point of view.  Yes, I respected Judy after reading all the thread.  But what about those other websites?
