Steve, I am shocked and sorrowed to hear of sweet Heidi's passing! My deepest condolences to you, she was such a lovely, fuzzy pup with a dazzle in her eye, we have been blessed that you shared her short life with us.

Oh Steve, I am so terribly sorry. I wish there was something I could say to make it all go away. I think we all loved that little ball of fluff, from her pictures alone. I can only imagine how you feel. I missed that other thread and your post. I'm glad you have your boy Goran to hug, care for and keep you going out to the garden. Sometimes that helps. I wish you the best and hope your spirits lift soon. You and Heidi are in my thoughts.

my heart goes out to you and your tremendous loss; and even though heidi, who was a wonderful pup, can never be replaced i hope you don't wait too long to bring another joyous pup into your life - you deserve it and a pup deserves the kind of life you offer. - susan

Steve, heartfelt condolences from us. I remember losing a young and very promising VA-sired puppy a few years ago as he quietly went to sleep in my arms. I never forgot it. I did not know that it was possible for me to cry, and I was very embarrassed that I caught myself crying periodically for at least two days.

Keep your chip up-you'll never forget, but a new face will relieve the greif of losing your friend.

Kind Regards,
Bob-O and Family

Steve,

Sorry for your loss.  A friend of mine sent this quote to me when I lost one of my dogs years ago.  I've never forgotten it.  It's by Irving Townsend, The Once Again Prince.  It brought me comfort, I hope it brings you comfort.

"We who choose to surround ourselves with lives even more temporary than our own live within a fragile circle, easily and often breached. Unable to accept its awful gaps, we still would have it no other way. We cherish memory as the only certain immortality, never fully understanding the necessary plan...."
