Uber Land

by Uber Land on 22 February 2009 - 05:02

LPK, I am in North Texas.  I'm just going to have to really think about what I am going to do about her.  She's going to be alot of dog, and I don't want her going to just anybody.  her potential being wasted and the potential of her being bounced around.  I've kept dogs like her in the past,  maybe I can still do it.
show a pedigree of your Arko baby !

I know your dilemma!  I sent you a PM...

I have 2 females left from my litter of ten, everybody else has gone home, except for puppy "Skye"
I'm accidently keeping her
I had a man come over yesterday to meet my adult dogs cause he wants a male
from my next litter, he found me through word of mouth.

I'm asking $1,200.00 for my pups, and next week Tessie will be going to the vets and have her hips
xrayed for OFA, that's going to cost between 4 and 5 hundred, also we joined a Schutzhund club, lots
of training coming up, I'm sooooooo excited!
so I stand firm by my price, lots of work. if you have
already  gotten a pup from me in the past, no matter how long ago, then you get a $ 200.00 discount.

Here's my last 2 girls, they are running around my house right now, they are so much fun to play with,
I think I'll just concentrate on enjoying their company for now!
Way-Way too cute!

Mirasmom, I can't believe it cost 400 to 500 for hip x-rays. My vet charges 90.00 to 100.00 and does a great job. Guess I'm lucky to have found him. Nice pups!

Where do you live, I'm in USA, Massachusetts...........

Also I get them knocked out, the man I go to for stud service with the labs has a vet in RI, that doesn't
knock them out, and his dogs all get good's from OFA, if I went to his vet it would be over 2 hours away,
I'm sure he charges less, cause of no anesthesia.....

does your vet knock them out for x-ray......

I gotta get me an x-ray machine......Tom Cruise had an ultra-sound machine.........

Mirasmom, I live in Ohio, yes my vet knocked out all my dogs. I have sent him a lot of business. I had a female that went into labor at 2 in the morning, she only had 1 pup and it was to large to get out on her own.  I called Ted at home 3AM, he met me at his clinic and did a c-section. Total charge 425.00.

Mirasmom, it is very obvious you love and take wonderful care of your dogs and puppies.

Your pics are beautiful,- how you manage to get them to pose in such adorable ways with all those stuffed animals in tact is amazing to say the least!

I wonder how many breeders bath their pups before selling (all ten at once too). I am impressed!

Uber Land, I wouldn't worry so much right now. Like someone stated everyone's tax returns are going to be coming in. How old is your pup? I haven't seen your ad yet, sorry. I have a breeding coming up myself and do worry as well, but I have always been like that no matter how the economy is. I am also prepared if I do have some pups linger around until they find their forever home. From the way your pup sounds I don't think you have to worry at all.

mirasmom, I totally agree with Red Sable. There is NO way those stuffed animals would be recognizable to anyone if I had puppies next to them in a picture :-))  You always (and I don't know how) get some very cute picture's!!!!

For x-ray's there are 2 vets that I know of that charge $200 and that includes hips/elbows and the fee to send it to OFA. 1 vet will put them under and the other will not. I'm going to drive over an hour away for the one that doesn't put them under.

I had a litter of 12, i was able to sell 6 thru contacts by the time they were 6 weeks. From the paper adverts was only able to sell 1 and that is out of 3 weeks of advertising. The call get less every year. people cant just afford now.

Next week I am offering customers facility to pay by card so that its easier on there purse.

Just a friendly warning

"Science will f*** you up" may be a turn-off.  Is it on your web site?

It surely makes some people uncomfortable.
