Mary,
Are you saying that the specific judging assignments are NEVER made, until after the entry deadline? That is the way it has been in the past with the USA Sieger Show AND NASS? Hmmmm... Interesting. If that is the case, one must wonder why anyone would be making so much noise about it now. Hmmmm

The judges and their class assignments for NASS 2009 (scheduled for November--nearly 10 months away) have been known for some time and have been published in the WDA Newsletter.

And what was done last year, the year before and the year before that? IF WDA has always announced their judging assignments prior to the event, that 's their business. It certainly does not mean that USA must/should follow suit.

Frankly, I don't know why I am even bothering on this thread. I vowed some time ago to just leave the show folks and their thing to the show folks. That is what I am going to do, now....at least until the video is posted.

There are suites left too, just not at the reduced rate!
On a more serious note:
Please be patient, USA would rather have information posted once correctly than need to make corrections. As these very important desicions are made, we will all know. Getting angry when there is no futher information avaiable doesn't help anyone.
I hope WDA has all the ducks in a row and everything works out for them. They have a great date to work with, everything else has pretty much wound down for the year. However, they too have had people upset over things like catalog avaiability and sound system issues (see posts after last years NASS).

My main role is as the local hotel and venue contact, no association with judges, helpers ect. just hospitality for our group including a great selection of area resturants.
I watch the hotel reservations to make sure we have rooms left and am ready to recruit other hotels if needed. Since I posted the news on the judge change as I heard about it from USA, there has been a surge in hotel rservations (an additional 14 rooms reserved) and no cancellations, therefore I beleive the majority is unconcerned about the issue of judge assignments.

Several WDA clubs are getting their ducks lined up for a "dry run" by having SV Judge/Körmeister Hans-Ludger Göke (the designated judge for Working Males at NASS 2009) judge at their clubs this year.
