FYI, there are currently NO local, state or federal tests governing dog trainers. There are certain orginizationas that have tests and use titles. But they mean nothing. Including lawenforcement. They only stand strong in the orginization that gave the title.

Hmmmm.... just wondering since you mentioned Trainers...not seen posts from TheDogTrainer in several months-she used to post frequently.
Maybe she got a dog training job traveling and training the world as she was advertising herself to do. Just curious-it's rainy and muddy here so no running the dogs this morning....

I,ve never put a Sch 3 on a dog to date, a Sch 2 on one, and Sch 1 on 2, never was a training coordibator of a club but was President of a local club for several years (whoop tee doo) I,ve got a 7.5 year old dog with some very bad habits as far as obedience and tracking goes ( that I created) am working on a very talentted and driven 1 year old female (trying not to screw this one up) AS usual, Bob cracked me up. I can SO relate!
Hey does anyone know if Phil Hoelcher and/or T-Floyd still do seminars and if so, do they have any planned for 2009? Not sure about 2009, but Phil just conducted part of the 1st annual WDA seminar in NJ last month. I was fortunate enough to be in attendance. Not only is he a very talented trainer with both dogs and handlers, but he's a hell of a good dancer. ;-D T told me a few months back that he is pretty busy with his kennel business and breeding program, on "hold" too much these last couple of years while he traveled to help other people train their dogs.

Hey Bob, I checked out your website. I really like the indoor facility that you have. Must make training in the cold winters really nice. The training field looks real nice as well. It's a nice site, thanks for providing the link. Sounds like you guys have a nice training group. Good luck with that female.
