Some Breeders take the cake! - Page 4

This is just absolutely heartbreaking!!! I have NEVER been so disgusted in my life. That shit bag.......... I can't put into words what I am feeling about this situation right now...

Why wasn't this story posted BEFORE the dogs were put down? And why are you now protecting this breeder? You can't be sued for telling the truth. Is there actual proof (other than heresay) that the dogs were actually euthanized?

This story was not posted till after the fact because I had only a couple of hours to try to convince the breeder this was NOT the right thing to do!  I know for fact that the female was killed.  And I am not the only one who knows of this....did you see the other post?

I am not protecting this person.  He is a certified helper and used to work many trials and has swooned lots of people.  I feel the need actually to protect any of my dogs that I might title or trial under any of his associates!  My dog is #1 priority!  Unfair helper work happens all the time and dogs do get injured intentionally!  I might meet up with this dude some day at a National level trial, he has done helper work at many National level events!

Unfortunately not having a case does not mean you can't be sued, just means you might not lose.  If someone wants to be an asshole and has the time and inclination, they can use the leagal system to make your life miserable or at the least inconvenience the hell out of you.

These men don't deserve to have anything to do with dogs after this and should be listed so everyone specially breeder don't make the mistake and put one of their dogs in the hands of this asshole and have him do the same to them. It makes me so damm angry to here of such things happening and they face no action from other people that know about this. And this guy is a cert. helper. I hope that someone steps up at one of these trials and exposes them for what they truely are SCUM

PowerHaus, thank you for bringing up this issue.  i haven't been on here for quite some time, but would like to respond here.  as a small breeder, i get many calls when i don't have puppies available.  i have a VERY hard time recommending other breeders so i take the opportunity to 'help' these potential buyers.  here's what i do:

• i send them to this site and tell them to look at the information on the standard and know some of it well enough to ask any breeder they visit how their dogs fit the standard (if a breeder can't answer, they are in it for the money and haven't even bothered to educate themselves)
• the breeder should be just as interested in them as they are in the breeder

I seriously interview every potential buyer.  i'm hesitant to write too much here, because it would be easy for others to just 'copy' what i do without the same intention to place their pups in exceptional homes, or for unscrupulous buyers to 'fool' a breeder. 

the point is, breeders can choose to place their puppies carefully, and buyers can choose to purchase carefully.......we can't control those choices and there will always be some taking advantage of others.  ANY breeder who does not interview carefully and place their pups in loving, nurturing homes is only in it for the money.  we can expect the worst from them and that is often what we will get.  the best we can do is avoid and/or (cautiously) expose them.
