Paranoid Schizophrenia

Schizophrenia is a mental illness that affects more than 2 million American adults.

Sometimes the illness makes it hard for people to do certain things.

For example:

  • They may not be able to think clearly.
  • They may not know the difference between what is real and what is not real.
  • They may have trouble managing emotions.
  • They may have a hard time making decisions.
  • They may not relate well to other people.

What happens?

Here are some things that can happen in people with this disease:

  • They may hear or see things that are not there.
  • They may feel as if they are being watched.
  • They may experience a change in self-care or personal appearance.
  • They may experience a change in personality.
  • They may feel angry or fearful toward loved ones.
  • They may act in ways that are strange or out of place.
  • They may develop an extreme focus on religion or the occult.

Oprah, if you read my post I only accused you of being a multiple spoofer and a bully.  On the otherhand you are attemptimg to practice psychology without a license.  Do you have a Ph.D. in psychology and are you licensed?  If so say so plainly.  I hope you are not "projecting" here?

By the way, as I stated before, all my psych exams as a part of my training and post doctoral supervision were well within normal range.  Why are you so upset here.  Don't you want to help this lady who was victimized by the perp dog trainer?  You write as though you have such noble motives, but then you don't seem interested in helping bring this perp to justice?

I have been receiving PMs and emails thanking me for standing up for the victim on this forum and warning folks about this perp.  I guess I am surprised by your attitude here, I expected you to want to put any forum rivalries aside and work together to expose this perp.

It's all depenant on the person, and what they consider a "bad Kennel"... Some people will trash anyone they disagree with on something, some will trash someone who is overtly dishonest, and some won't say a word for fear of the backlash of speaking up on an open board, or being quoted back to the people @ that kennel and not being able to back it up with specifics, or having their own reputation trashed (justly or injustly) It only takes one person with some visablity in the breed to start on you to have your rep go into the dumpster.

*chuckles*  I kind of think that might be what 2Moons was refering to...  As you can see from the "lively" discussion at the meer mention of this subject... *ducking a clod o' mud as it wizzes by* it's a topic that's quite heated.  Listen when someone says negative things about a kennel, but don't make an absolute decision based on it... Listen HARDER when people say good things about a kennel... especially when many people say good things.... And you should be okay.  Just take your time, and to your homework.

I'm a good year away from purchasing a pup, but am on here almost every day looking @ adds, looking @ dogs so that when time comes I'll be familiar with the pedigrees and hopefully a number of kennels I'd consider purchasing a pup from. The sad fact is that most people have the check book open and a bad case of Puppitis... and grab the first cuttie they see. If you want a sound dog (mentally and physically)  and one that will suit your needs that time's critical.  What's a "perfect" dog for one person wouldn't be for someone else.  While my heart wants a highdrive type A kind of dog... I'm on disability, and the reality is that I need a pup with the same brains, but less drive...  take the time.. it's worth it in the end.
