Thank you,

Yes I feel better, but it is a shame, that  it had to be done this way!

Like I said before, If I had named the kennel, breeder, or dogs, then maybe you can say I was bashing or slamming.

I could have been talking about any breeder in North Texas.  and yes, there is no reasoning with some people. that was a broad and generalized statement.  I have never directed any degrogatory statement towards you or Mr. King.

Can you blame me for asking ? no, several other breeders who have more credentials than I have stated, from the original picture provided the bitch looked solid black.  even if you enlarged it, the quality of the pic is poor and grainy. the dog still looked black.

but being that a better photo has been posted we can all now see she is sable.

I will not apologize for asking questions.

Pharaoh

by Pharaoh on 11 July 2008 - 21:07

My pup Pharaoh's father is a very black sable and his mother is a black sable. It was known that Aron v Poppitz (daddy) carried the solid black gene as he has produced many litters in Germany. His mother Sindy v Ludwigseck could have carried sable/sable or or sable/black based on her picture pedagree. I assumed sable/bi-color  was not possible. Am I wrong? This was her first litter. There were 7 males and 1 female. Two of the male puppies were solid black. All of the other puppies were sable.

As Pharaoh has grown, there is brown evenly, deep between all of his toes, which can only be seen if you spread them apart. He is my "ersatz bi-color".

Some of you who are more up on the genetics, what were the chances of solid black? Was there a chance that Sindy carried the bicolor gene?

I didn't really care about which color, all of the possibilities were good as far as I was concerned. This is just a fun mental excercise.

Desert Rangers,

Thank you for the compliment and for trying to help.

 Jennifer,

Maybe, originally it was just questions, but after your first post it did not seem that way.  I also know that you called Jerry to ask him.  Why if you think his post should be disreguarded?  I just feel that, it was not just your intent to find answer!  Why even question if you feel the way you stated above, about this breeder?  You gave the effort to try to give him the information and you obviously knew what it took to get a sable. You supplied it to him in a email.  So if you already knew because of research you stated you had done, what other reason to get on the database and ask unless you were trying to start another thrashing on someone?  No, you are right you didnt mention names, breeders or cities but you did make a phone call to Jerry and you knew what would happen from there.

If you were honestly not trying to stir the pot, then you would apologize!

Thats my feeling on this matter.

being devils' advocate here I guess, but the dog pictured still looks black to me.  No brown goggles, no brown around the ears, no brown anywhere?  The dog Aron whose link was posted  is a good example of a dark black sable.  You can clearly see he is sable though, because of the sabling on his body and face.  The dog pictured looks exactly  like my black dogs do, when they are blowing coat.

Molly,

You do not have to have  sable on the face to consider it to be sable.  The sable is defined as two colors on a single strand of hair.  You clearly see that she is not blowing her coat. This dog is a Black Sable.  I do uderstand having Black dogs of my own, what you may be talking about, but not this one.

Have a good day,

Sherrie

I did not call Jerry and ask him, if he said I did he is a liar!

I would never speak to that man again.  he is a nut case.  he has had harrassment charges filed against because he even faxed letters to another womans work place to her boss, stating she was on drugs and was basically a terrible person.  I don't want to ever see or hear from Jerry again.

He took a completely healthy, very high drive, confident Stormfront brawnson grandson from my house along with another male pup that he now owns, Cain, Cane, however you spell it.

The dog was ruined.  they let the other male beat on him and totally ruined Worf.  you know exactly what dog I am referring to.

You had a "german litter" adv. a year or so ago.  I called to inquire about it.  you agreed to sell me a puppy, then you talked to Jerry and he gave you some line of BS that I was a puppymill and did not treat my animals well.  At the time I thought me and Jerry were casual friends.  I did not know he had been going around bashing me.  You refuse to sell me a pup after that.  which really is no sweat off my back as you're dogs weren't all german like you had stated.

for the record, here is what I have:

I have 3 gsd:

Machien is 4 this year and spayed, Aggie is 7 this year, never had any puppies, and I have a 5 month old black girl who is DDR/czech lines.  I have not had a litter in 4 years

I have 2 schipperke, Scarlet who is my 6 year old and has only had 3 litters, she is MSP111B certified normal.  then I have a 4 month old daughter of her's I have kept and do hope to show.

I have 5 japanese chins, all rescue's from a horrible puppymill situation.  several are blind, they have seizures and all are 8-10 years old.

I have a 13 year old pomeranian that came out of an abusive home, the owner was severe schizphrenic

2 shihtzu, Jezzy is 12 and Laci is 8

then about 5 little nuerotic chihuahua's who came from the same miller as the chins.  they spent 8 years of their lives in rabbitt cages, never going outside, their spines are deformed from the wire as is their feet..

THESE DOGS ARE NOT ADOPTABLE.  THEY WILL LIVE OUT THE REST OF THEIR LITTLE LIVES AT MY MOTHER'S AND My  HOME. when they are dead, we won't have so many, but until then I am not turning them out on the street.

I don't expect several to make it past this year.

Does this make me a puppymill?

the last time I ever talked to you (Sherrie Lancaster), you were so rude to me, why would I call to ask you a simple question?

I did not make this personal, you were the one who got on here and was very offended.   I never once said who I was referring to, Jerry was the one who opened his mouth and stated who the breeder was with the litter. and where to go and see them.

as I said again, I would never ever call him.  the man makes me sick.  he is a snake in the grass and turns on everyone who has ever considered him a friend.
