On 8 April 2000, the Breed Advisory expressed the recommendation to set the expected heritability of a dog with the HD hip rating of ‘fast normal' (ALMOST normal, as described by the SV rating standard) as the new reference basis.
This recommendation was accepted at the National convention in Koblenz on 20-21 May. In establishing the standard, the data particulars of a fictional animal with unknown father and unknown mother was used so as to avoid any hip rating influence of related animals. German Shepherd Dogs which produce (pass on) to a standard equivalent to that, receive the numerical hip rating valuation of 100.
The Breeding Plan of the SV is reworded in §2 accordingly.
The committees were of one opinion that, in setting restrictions on the permissible pairings, no adjustments are necessary at the present.....breeders will be responsible for, and relied upon to, supply the appropriate information to other breeders.
The Breed Value Assessment itself has not changed. The HD (Breed) values are calculated as before, apart from the fact that new data will be updated quarterly. In a second step, the existing heritability numbers will be converted into a relative calculation whereby the BREED average (cross-section of the Breed = 1.70) will no longer be used, but rather the heritability factor of the ‘fictional' GSD with ‘fast normal' hips (2.0) will be set as the reference point (=100).

i am not sure how much u know about training dogs or drives but i can tell you that i would love to see Iwan or Debbie ,T or even better trainer like Gottfried Dildie or Bernard to put shutzhund title on a dog that does not have drives for shutzhund work can never be done there is no way in hell it can be done and along with all the other words i used to decribe you ' you are also unfortunatly clue less.i guess i have been wasting my time with someone who does not have any idea about drives or training or dogs.and in the future if you want some one to respect what you are saying then learn stuff first and then give your opinion.also any one and i do not care who it is if you are going to pass ajudgment on a dog based on two or three examples you would have to be an idiot and that is my openion take it or leave it. it is not the end of the world.time to move on.

On the 2 on 2 Brawnson one of the bitches was OFA EX and one heck of a working dog. She died from pyometria of the Uterus as did one of her littermates. The vet that tried to save her by a emergency spay said her Uterus was malformed and it was genetic. (could not expel properly). But that was a 2 on 2 not a 3 on 3. Sometimes breedings work and sometimes they do not. I did not ever see the Brawson work but from what I hear he was a great dog. If I had a Brwnson bitch I would try to breed her to a dog known to improve everything health wise (in Czech lines anyway)ie Titus , Arys. and their get Chuna,Norbo etc. I have a bitch line bred on Astor and she is a grandaughter of Norbo. I love her and she is very healthy.

I like males better as they seem to bond better with me than a female does but I want to continue my line. Plus with males you don't have to worry about keeping track of heat cycles and accidental breedings.
I will probably keep 1 female from 1 of my 2 upcoming litters and then several years down the road I can breed her back to my male Faust, that way I can keep the lines I like and in several years I will be ready for another litter. Faust is a Car son and a Titus g-son.
I was just looking at different options and wanted opinions on one option I was curious about. I really love both of my Brawnson girls and both have good things to offer in their puppies.
Tia is a rather large female, she is tall and somewhat leggy and is a very masculine, dominate, head strong bitch. She has an excellant temperment, good structure, head and pigment , very high drives, good nerves with a bone crushing full grip. Tia should improve grips and drives in her puppies. Tia's first litter bred by me 5 out of 6 went to service work as military, police or SAR.
Kiyah is more compact and of the DDR style, she is a little on the heavy side but is on an excercise program. She's the newest GSD and is a joy to have. She's very calm and laid back but has the most "I will eat you whole" bark I have EVER heard. I haven't had her on a sleeve but have talked to several people who have seen her worked and had nothing but rave things to say and put their names on my waiting list for a puppy from her. Kiyah should improve the hardness and put a more correct structure in her puppies.
I will try to get better pictures and of them stacked sometime this weekend and repost them.

K9sar06,
I really like Tia, always have! You are fortunate to have her. Does Ehret offer Faro for stud. He would be an interesting dog to use.
