Such very very sad news, Ken was a stunning dog
Our deepest sympathy to all in Kens life, we lost our beautiful Lasso daughter Jacki v Susannenhain recently at the golden age of 12 and the loss we felt and still feel is terrible, but to loose a dog a such a young age and so suddenly must be heart renching.

To Louise, Uber-land and Tig - I stand corrected, you seem to know lots about this condition and your feelings based on research are that it has a strong hereditory factor. Then I can quite understand you questioning this cause etc., and am pleased to hear that it wasnt being done in a derogatory manner, because threads on this database have a bad habit of taking a downward turn.
However, it seems these are very genuine posts, and I am so pleased..... glad to say (fingers crossed) that we havent had the problem for many many years, lost my old Champion finally to cancer, having gotten through a splenic torsion and a gastric torsion.... so know how bad it is, but maybe I should do some reading up on the modern knowledge, thanks.
