I read somewhere that blacks weren't being shown as much because the show faults more easily.

For years, there were virtually no blacks shown. But when I visit the German forums, there is a consensus that the blacks are increasingly coming into fashion again. It is true that you see everything on a black dog. I have a black 4 month old male who was nipped by his sister. It looked really bad. In a black and red, I would have probably overlooked it. But the scrape was pretty bloody, lol. Also, black dogs generally have a shorter coat. That means there is no hiding of topline and underchest. What you see is what the dog is! Here is Alex v.d. schwarzen Seeperlen, who was to the best of my knowledge the only black dog shown at the German Sieger Show last year: http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/pedigree/409877.html . His owner told me that he is going to be presented again this year in Aachen. So, I am looking forward to seeing him again, because I have plans to use him as a breeding partner for my black girl.

it's just you all have ugly working line dogs, then you all in to sable. if you want working line dog, should get DDR, or stick with Czech, bi color, if it show line keep it at black and red. there are millions millions show line dog out there, how many sable? maybe this breeding with Ajus. V Noort was done by accident, or its not even from Adj. Noort, will need DNA for this...

bottom line, working line GSD are so ugly, you all have working line need to improve, so you try to get show line in your working line. but I am no for sure, this dog will not successful.

GSDsportdog,

you truly are a piece of work. There is no more sense trying to explain anything to you.

You know what? I am German, but I do post in English here because that is the required board language. If you wish to speak French, I am sure there are French GSD forums as well. Maybe you can find people who agree with you right there.

I had that feeling, that blacks usually have shorter coats, that male is related to Buster  through a bi color brother right. And he is from working lines at that. Is it possible to get a black from a pure showline breeding now? I doubt it but maybe?

GSDsportdog,

What is your deal? What is the actual point of this post? The female that was bred to Andrjuscha in this ad appears to be a SHOW line dog, just as Andrjuscha is. Just because she is sable does not make her a working line, nor does it mean that any of her offspring will fail at any given task because of their color. If the sable puppies in this litter are as promising looking as the black and red puppy posted with the ad, I congratulate the breeder on such a nice litter.

Who are you to decide who Andrjuscha should and shouldn't be bred to? From what I hear, his work is nice enough there should be no reason the working line breeders wouldn't want to breed to him.

You seem to be bashing working line dogs (especially sables), telling us all how ugly they are, yet you state that your next dog will be a working line, RED SABLE female. http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/bulletins_read/164115.html#164461

It sounds to me like you have a serious grudge against the poster of the ad you provided the link to. Or maybe you do not like someone connected to Andrjuscha. Whatever it is, you should consider letting it go before you make yourself look like more of a fool.

Chris,

You have every right to be proud of Gina, and not just because you speak English.    She is beautiful!  Congratulations on all her accomplishments and best wishes for many more to come!

GSDsportdog (a most inapproriate name , if ever there was one), WHAT is your problem? We gave you the benefit of the doubt that a language issue was the impediment to your comprehension and Chris particularly spent a lot of time explaining (wasted, as it turned out). Now, it is apparent that you are simply an asshole ( culo/blaneur/suky sin) that simply wants to display his rear-crevice as much as possible on an internet board. WHO the hell even knows what you mean by "let speak france to"? Are you suggesting that we speak FRANKLY , or are you suggesting that we speak FRENCH? We have already done the former, and your syntax does not indicate that the latter is your forte, either. So, again, WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM? If you goal was to alienate as many as possible in one fell swoop, you have succeeded. You may depart. Please allow the door to make violent contact with the rear anatomical fissure as you depart. Chris: congrats on Gina! Is she 2nd or 3rd generation?

Although the female in question is deinately a show line dog, its true that major breeders ARE mixing show and sorking lines with good success. Sure, it can take a couple of gnerations to re-establish consistent type, but that's true with most outcrossed breedings. Personally, I love the sable dogs on both sides of the fence. I must. I have a whole house full of them!

iI also agree with Chris that even though the sables haven't done as well as we'd like since Messler stepped down, the day will come again!
