F.SALMAN is correct. You have to consider that East German bloodlines are not that plentiful and some are hanging by a thread. This all would make the stud more valuable. F.SALMAN you have to realize that many people on this web board have little to no experience in dogs and that goes double for DDr knowledge.

Now that's a slam.......

 DDR SDG,

Which one(s) of us are you referring to as "inexperienced" or lacking in "DDR knowledge"?  Or is that just a broad generalization?

Ultimately, how can anyone "prove" that their stud is worth his fee?  I wish it were that easy, black and white, but it's not.  If anyone has a mathematical formula to calculate appropriate stud fees for a dog, please let me know!

On the merit of their progeny, bred AFTER their parents are titled and breed surveyed. That's how.

He is a nice looking male. I love the DDR dogs. I have a pure DDR female and I love the dark blocky look they have.

Also I looked on OFA's website and it only gives a rating for his hips, there is no record of his elbows.

It wil be nice to see him with titles. There are not to many pure DDR dogs anymore either, so that with titles that would make him that much more valuable. I am not saying that titles are everything...afterall they are just a piece of paper.  But the titles will help show that he has stable nerves and is breedworth too.

He IS a nice looking odg. Pure DDR dogs are getting rare as hen's teeth these days for sure. Titles aren't everything, but they are the some of the best tools we have for helping assess temperament and structural soundness in our breeding candidates.

Okay - it was just too hard and so I decided to post the pictures for you.  He is a beauty!

Get the elbows done!!!  Get some kind of title on him.  A BH, AKC obedience/agility/rally.  Hell, get a CGC.

He is too pretty to waste.  He looks like something between Rookie and Puck, two of my favorites.

Good luck with your beautiful boy.

Wow,

this shocks me as I wrote this board about a breeding from this dog and you ppl sort of bashed him, now I see something different going on here.

I want a pup from this male, and the female that had the pups has a nice pedigree, but some of you told me to check Sven and Gotz and that they threw coats, testicle problems, and bad hips etc.

Well, what is it, do I have a problem or something. LOL
