live4,
It's OK to be specific about what you're looking for, but don't be surprised when you don't get any responses. You appear to assume that no one will reply to you because they have a dog, but something to hide, and are afraid of being caught lying.
Instead, maybe that dog is just not out there for sale. You're basically asking for a "perfect" dog with exactly the bloodlines and color and appearance and and and...
Sorry, but if I had a nice black bitch as absolutely perfect as you describe, I wouldn't be selling her!
Yvette
P.S. When you find the perfect bitch, let me know if she has a littermate available. LOL

I actually like your approach. Even if you don't get a response, you will have wasted zero time. I don't think there is anything wrong in being specific. I read your ad and thought wow sounds like one of the pups I have and then read on to notice you are seeking an older dog.
Ha! Ha! That's how my wife is, a real "straight shooter". Yvette and Don have good points, let them know from the start your expectations. No wasted time. Just don't act "as if" you expect to be cheated.
I have written to several people looking for a nice dog and when it is out of my price range they get upset. Saying you get what you pay for. True. But I can't see paying $10,000 and more.for any dog we aren't wealthy,. Thanks for your input. Rita

As SchHBabe says, no-one sells a 'perfect' dog (apart from the fact it is still to be born), but you advertise for it and better still expected the ad to bring in some responses ! And you still claim you're not gullible? lol
If I had the 'perfect' female and was willing to sell it, I can say catagorically it would'nt be to someone whose heart was obviously set in concrete!!!!

Very cute Marge. I especially like how you associated my heart to what I do for a living. Since you like playing with words heres one for you.
Marge, how about you leave the scarcasm to Homer and the smart ass remarks to Bart, 'lol'......
Everyone here is keeping this light hearted and profesional until your dumbass post.

Live4 - I would have to agree with Don. Was reading your post, and way like..."WONDERFUL"...but then you were looking for older dog! :-( However, I think it's great how you know exactly what you want, and will accept nothing less. I wish you luck in your search.
As for pricing, I too, will not answer an ad is there is no pricing. I have pockets, maybe not as deep as some, but they are there! LOL

Would people rather see a set price or a range of prices? Nobody can really honestly say what a pup will turn into when grown, yes lots of puppy tests and such but environment can play a large roll. The "pet" may turn into the high prey, or high level schutzhund dog while the schutzhund prospect may tone down and be the pet. So, range of prices or set price?
Animules -
I totally agree with you about not knowing how a pup will turn out. How it acts as a 8 wk old pup may not be how it acts as a 8 mo old pup. Mainly, IMO, because you have little control over how it is raised once it leaves your property. That being said, I feel a set price is much better. If you think that a SchH prospect should be $1200, and a pet quality $800, then price them at $1000 and be done with it! :) What's the opinion on charging different prices for males/females?
