Well I do not know of any Crok blood at the Sieger Show, but I know a hell of alot of Crok Blood at the BSP and that is what matters most to me! For us working dog folks anyway.... To each his/her own!!!! Best Regards, Dennis Johnson www.johnsonhaus.com

Crok was a ugly dog , the Lindenhalle were nice dogs, you could feel them trough the sleeve, real power

"Stretched" = Long mid-sections. Yes, Jago was "V", but in person I wondered how come. He was big and very long. He did have a very strong head, but I didn't like his hard-as-nails expression. I found it n-nerving, and the dog behind it was 'way too aggressive for me. Mink produced a lot of snipey looking dogs, no angulation, short steep croups, not much bone, poor toplines, bad tail set, most looked like gutted snipes in the body/flank area with the exception of a few Lewis Malateta offspring who weren't to-o-o bad. (SG) It usually takes a few generations to get rid of that kind of ugly. Crok produced a little better looking dogs, stronger heads, more bone, nicer coats, but still too ugly for my taste. I just can't see myself looking at a really ugly dog for 12 years, no matter HOW well they did in the work.

4 pack- The dogs Preston is speaking of are also considered junk in many working dog breeders' circles. Few if any want to produce dogs that are so far from the breed standard. Its a short hip from a G rating to a U rating, which disqualifies a dog from the breed survey. They're all supposed to LOOK LIKE German Shepherds... not Malinois in different colors. LOL SS

old shepherds looked like malinois in different colors, and shepherds are about work not look, and I always loved the way Crok looked

I liked the way Wanko Maaraue looked... AND worked. Ditto for Grando Schloss Veitenstein and most of his sons, Uwe Kirschental, many of the Bunglow dogs and Busecker Schloss dogs... Nick, Neck, the list goes on and on... Working dogs don't HAVE to be ugly. Show dogs don't HAVE to be wimpy. Give me the best of both worlds, thank you very much! If it can't make SG or better, it has no place in my breeding program. SS

"That word"SPORT"always mean competition for the highest, that is true, but this competition reaches its high-water marks in"Exhibitions",which, just because they demand no real capabilities lead people only too easily astray..." Max v Stephanitz

Kind og off topic but Funky brings up a very interesting point..... Look at the early GSD's Jorg, Peter Aribert. Roland Starkenburg, and especially Beowulf. Ducking for cover..... They were malinios.

they were like malinois, but bigger and with better haircoat
