DH, got your email and in case anyone else misunderstood I've decided against another longcoat. Jevita Grando (the sire of my longcoat) is a standard coat and that's what I will be looking for. Jevita is being bred again this summer to a nice bi-color female, but have heard recently that his hip rating isn't that good. Did a google search and couldn't find a hip rating for Jevita but did find one of his pups with hip dysplasia so now I have to wonder. Will have to have a hip x-ray on my boy just to make sure he doesn't have any problems I should be aware of. I'd also advise the breeder to have her female checked for the longcoat gene otherwise she may end up with a litter of fluff balls :-) Sorry I hi-jacked this thread....I'll go play with my doggies now...
triodegirl, with Jevita offspring watch the elbows as much of not more than the hips. Know of several offspring with bad elbows out of different females with different bloodlines.

D.H. helped me purchase a young dog in Germany and then train the dog from BH through SchH III. This was a very good experience and would highly recommend D.H. for her training services overseas.
DH, I did send you an email on the 21st February asking about the possibility of putting a sch1 title on my bitch but have never heard from you, so not sure if you didnt get the email or you saw her picture and didnt like her. I am finding it near on impossible to find someone to help train her, it seems to me that based in the UK no one wants to help. Her hips and elbows are sound, she has basic obedience etc I just need the sch title. If any one can help recommend someone much appreciated.
Sorry to mention it in this post but I saw DH had posted so gather they must be around somewhere.
Hi Ann, sorry, did not receive anything re training around that date. May have gone into my spam folder and I may have missed it. Please resend and put SchH Training in the subject line, that way I will catch it if it ends up in spam.
Would never dismiss a dog on looks :o), looks don't work.
We have dealt with quarantine/pet import scheme countries before. Its a bit more involved but we will be glad to work with you.

Vinnie, von Hayden Sheps, thanks for the Kudos, always appreciated :o).
Do they still have a six month quarenteen (sp?) on dogs imported into the UK? Is is easier from countries in the EU?
Just curious, as I lived in England for a couple of years back in the 70's and was saddened when I couldn't come and go with my dog.

Thanks DH for your prompt response we'll talk via the emails.
Yes Shelley they do still have quaranteen, but you can travel pets as long as they have a valid pet passport which my bitch has, so coming back and forth from the EU is not a problem for her.
would not be afraid to use, D.H. she is one of the best, and honest...just my thoughts rick....
Wow, Ann, that's great!
Shelley
