What do you want the dog for? This narrows things down. The more info you can give, such as Personal Protection, companionship, Sport,very hard dog that will be on the sharp side etc.etc. the better and more accurate the referals you will get.
Just about any working lines, whether West German, DDR, Czech or where ever will probably not have a roach back. Roach backs are GENERALLY restricted to show lines. So from there you need to decide what your priorities are.
Some lines have great drives and are great sport dogs, while some may have less drive but more civil. Continue to ask questions and listen, learn and ultimatly get the dog you want,not something you will be sorry you got.
