Hunter, do you know how to make a live link? That clip of my friends Mali from Bergit is really cool, would like people to see it. Fact is, that male is so good, I'm considering crossing with a gsd female of mine to produce some outstanding detection and dual purpose prospects.

KNPV is full of crosses Mal, GSD, and Dutch ... Mals have a lot of the same health problems as the GSD however. Crossing would not likely improve health when done with a Mal?? I have slapped myself silly whenever I think of any cross with a GSD as I can find nothing that would improve health and structure save a wolf/dog hybrid breed such as the Czech wolf dog ... they were bred for guard, border, and tracking work by the Czechs before the wall came down and I think they are pretty much restricted to Czech owners .. not many outside the Czech republic.  Link that Joan requested to the Mal below.

Have seen far less HD/ED issues with Mals than I have shepherds. But for sure it is out there. I anticipate seeing more issues as the breed climb higher in popularity.

Hunter, not yet. I'll get some soon, I'm sure, as they've been training scent descrimination and said he is doing well. He's only a youngster, not yet a year but you can sure see his athleticism, haha. He's built real nice.

Is he out of her PH1 male?

Don't know. I don't know Mali pedigrees at all, so didn't look at it. But it's one she produced, I'm sure.

I would assume so if he was bought there as a puppy. PH1 male is a nice, nice dog.
