D.R. , take a deep breath...she bought the dog AFTER it had the accidental breeding, I believe. and I have on occasion seen a scared, timid come around prety well given some time,it is not ,however, the rule. melba, sadly,if a pup is bred and has puppies at 9 months...they rarely OFA in a good way

and thats what we're going to find out. and even if the're the most horrible hips anyone has ever seen, she's still going to sleep next to my bed and everything else she does now until the day she physically can't anymore. but until that day comes, back off!!! people like YOU, who judge others before they open their big fat mouthes are the reason why people like me would rather hang out with my dogs than other people.

another spoofed id to get the folks on this site provoked. Goal, burn up band width, exhaust and upset participants. D.R has it right.

this i do know. but i'v been told by a VERY reliable source that IF she was going to have good hips BEFORE she was bred, that they will probably still be fair. but i cannot see into the future, so i will hope for the best. that only matters if i plan on breeding her anyways, and i don't know that i will. all that i know is we will go as far as we can while having as much fun as we can. and thats all that really matters.

Sorry D.R. ,I guess I'm missing something

Guys..Here's what will happen... A Extremenly timid(her words) pup has already had one litter. This pup will be x-rayed and if even OFA fair she will be bred no matter what. A mircle occurred and this pup now is a top rated working dog equal to the best in the world! Once she has pups then those pups will have pups and give many of you who rescue GSD's something to take care of.

says who???i completely believe in spaying and neutering. not every dog should have puppies. and can you honestly tell me that every dog with fair hips shouldn't be bred??? that's called purging. if you got rid of every dog that didn't have great hips, you would be left with a limited gene pool and the breed would die. there are many GREAT dogs that didn't have the most perfect hips. and where would the gsd be with out those dogs?? i didn't buy her with the intention of breeding her. i'v wanted a german shepherd since i was 5. i wanted one so bad that i would pretend I WAS a german shepherd. now i'm 25, i have 2 children, one other dog, and my german shepherd.

I have to agree with Molly up there. As long as you can have fun with her - go for it. Hey DR sounds like her pup was kept in a kennel and never given a chance.. Melba choose the older dog that needed saving rather than buy a puppy from this breeder... Then with some work she brought out the dogs natural abilities which the dog had all along... How am I doing so far? MY HATS OFF TO YOU MELBA.. Get Hooked On Schutzhund.. even if you don't make the World Team.. you have fun ... not all of us are *great* but we are enthusiasts. Jack
