But think of the savings for us female, instead of 12 weeks a year in cycle maybe we could skip to 4 weeks a year times 2? Giving us a 4 weeks heat cycle savings. :D

Ok, to sum up
It is ok for a male to mate a female every other day
For a male used as a stud it is ok to mate females every other day as long as you watch his health closely and feed him a good healthy diet plus you maintain a decent number of mating per month, also decent number of matings per year. My best guess for a reasonable number of matings per month is 4-8 matings, and better not exceed 60 matings per year.
