If she's so upset that the dog won't pass OFA and should be euth'ed, why not give her to someone who will give her a good home?  I've never known people who complain about the dog then not be willing to let it go to a home where it IS wanted!  Something shady here, JMO

Looked back through my emails and found another pic of the dog from October 2012.  In that email she said the dog was doing great.....hmmmm?  I don't know this woman well other than talking or emailing about German Shepherds, but this really just came out of the blue and it is upsetting to not hear from a person for a couple of months, then get these odd emails.

Shandra, I thought it was a big, gray bark collar or ecollar...like a cheapo generic pet one.

Anyone close enough to do a "dog-napping?" If she were in NY, I would give it a whirl.

IF you're sure that the woman is a military wife, Starr, that might have something to do with what's going on with her...that lifestyle can put a LOT of stress on a person, especially if her husband is deployed and she's having to deal with everything about running a household by herself.  You mention having met her once--so does she live near you?

Second picture sure looks like it  is not the same dog as the white legged one...

Remember another lady who posted that I sold Rex  to last year,
and I got him back as he was too much for her,   got a male from lady with same story...mmmmmmmm. Her hubby was enlisted and she was sick and never sent papers and the dog is still with lady in Longview but a lot of unanswered questions...same story about sick ..

I am gonna email her here in Longview.. Rex died this year so he had a year of fun and happiness...

What breeder in Texas did she mention ..pm me.....

also sounds like the same lady I sold a dog to in Joshua , tex...I got mine back.

Another breeder I am well aquainted with sold same lady in Joshua , tex a pup and she did same thing to him

Hope it is not same people...

Fightening for sure...
I have\ done dog repo-ing several times

Whaaaa-waaaa, sniffle, sob. Lots of women run households by themselves. Many do it under stressful conditions. Big deal. They don't all go nuts and project ailments on innocent animals. I don't care what's wrong w/this lady. That's between her and her shrink. I am worried about the poor dog, the voiceless, innocent dog at her mercy.

For F's sake, Jenni, we get it--you're a single mom with a kid, a house, dogs, AND horses, too, and you balance it all flawlessly.

You are who all women aspire to be.

You're also a really nasty bitch sometimes, y'know?  Sorry to hear you've used up your allotment of compassion for somebody other than yourself already.

There's a big difference between being a single mom--by choice--and being a military wife with a kid whose deployed husband could be killed and leave her a widow at any moment.  If she's laboring under more stress than she can handle because of the added pressure of the holidays, it could account for her bizarre behavior, or trigger it if she's already prone to such, and the deal with the dog might be a symptom of something much more serious.  If the OP knows this woman and where she lives, it might not be a bad idea to contact the base chaplain and explain the situation, and see if the chaplain might drop by there and check on her.

For f's sake, Phyllis, why would you think I was talking about myself??? Good Lord. I have a pretty nice life, actually. And I'm not single. Nothing's perfect, I guess. LOL.

Sounds like someone else is under a bit more stress than they can handle, eh Hexe? I'm the nasty bitch? Thinking

Well, I guess I am; this thread is about a DOG in danger. This is a DOG forum. I care about DOGS. I don't care what the circumstances are that are causing this woman's behavior until the DOG is safe. Get it? Sure, I pity abusers who were abused themselves, but not until their victims are safe. I also don't care about angry old, lonely and bored women who want to take continual wild guesses and jabs at my personal life, hoping one day they'll strike a nerve. Keep at it. Whatever floats your boat.  Meanwhile, if anyone has any pertinent information about THE DOG, let me know if I can help in any way.
