supakamario

@ itsgsd, i will never fault u for ur beliefs, and couldnt care less what u think of mine......ALL NOTHING NEVER ANYTHING. there is more than 1 way 2 skin a cat, however i dont feel that the average shutzhund (game trained) dog is a tru protector. ive seen impressive bit work until the sleve was hiddin. i also dont feel that training a dog to bite is the same as training a dog to bite when threatened.

i can use ur input
i am not interested in u trying to change my beliefe system
i do realize that im a green horn
i try to word my post so i get responces from ppl who share my beliefe system
i am not hear to pick fight nor do i have time for it
if u dont like what i say, or how i feel then be a grownup and KEEP IT MOVIN
i never tryed to tell anyone how training should b done

I ask u this.......do u realize every animals (even especially humans) when threatened have instincts (self presurvation) to flee? Police, and military personel are retrained to have the skill and confidence to meet a threat headon.......and IMO a TRU protection dog as well...............my next question......how do u train your dog what to do without threatening it? how do u actually threaten your dog without possible destroying that bond u took years to form?    YOU CAN/ SHOULD NOT......IMO and that is y i would never protection train my own dog myself..... now me getting my dog into shutzhund and startin the base line knowledge is something diff, but @ some point if im goin to trust my to protect my wife and kids i will have to know he will die b4 he runs. and u can know until u have tested that fact

@bhauh i did buy sl dogs, i wasnt ready (being a new gsd owner, and knowing i wanted 2) for the extra things that come with the type of wl i will one day have

@gsdfani dont form many opinions from the web, i get opinions from others then go in the real world and talk to ppl about the things that have been said on here, watch them train pick their brain and develope my own. i am in germany where the dogs come from, some of the ppl i talk to breed dogs, and breed dogs only and have for 45 yrs

americans r cocky arrogent ppl, im one, but im trying to change, since ive been around 2 c that now i know. comments like........more money than brains shows just this.i saw a dog sold for 50,000 euro thats 66 thousand dollars he was sch2 15 months old, beautiful and huge.......but not super PPD......supply and demand sets price, if u can afford it and want it go get it and that doesnt make u stupid........

ppl in here kill me with the mentallity that they know right and everything else is wrong

I never said you formed your opinions from the web...It doesn't matter where you got the info from...web, videos, classroom, from breeders/trainers with 45 years of experience...you didn't get it by holding the leash or by feeling the grip inside the suit while looking into the dogs eyes!  That is my point.

Yes you can learn alot by talking to people, you can learn alot in a classroom...but in the end you can't come close to the knowledge gained by DOING.  And putting into practical application what you think you know from everyone else.

Never have I seen a newbie pick the brain of a trainer and retain 100% of the knowledge shared...it's often misinterpreted, taken out of context or generalized broad spectrum when it was intended otherwise.

Every dog is different...some only play it as a "game" becuase they have been taught and required to follow the rules

People in Schutzhund are not there because they want PPD's....it is a sport and hobby...sometimes it is all they have access to in their area.

I was speaking of the worth of trained Police dogs and PPD's (a dog intended for a functional purpose that lasts 12-14 yrs)....I did not say anything about Schutzhund titled dogs...where yes demand sets the price.  Whether it be bragging rights, desire to stand on the podium (work or show)....or to use for Stud (which they usually never sell enough sperm to recoup)...if they want it and they have the money they get it...but it STILL doesn't make the dog "worth" that much money.

My statement about Police and PPD dogs, I have many friends where I can get fantastic dogs at reasonable prices (from being active in Schutzhund and PSA (protection sports association) for years).  Those brokers who sell "Executive protection dogs" for absurd amounts of money advertise in rich people magazines, don their websites with exquisite detail about the dogs incredible abilities, and cater to an economically higher class of people ( who think the more expensive the better quality), and have pictures of their famous clients on their web.

When in reality most dogs with a PDC (PSA title) are just as good if not better!... last year there was an article in the paper about an exectuive protection dog...the picture on the paper the decoy was catcing the dog on a bite pillow!!??  and the guy paid an insane amount of money for the dog! LOL.

Here's my female GSD (SchH dog, PSA dog, PPD...and constant companion)

Seems people you are wasting your time as Supakamario wants to listen only things he like and if you say something he doesn´t like he becomes defensive.
Supakamario, you should listen, listen and listen a lot and think a lot too. There are a lot of people of great knowledge here, for example Slamdunc is a man of great knowledge and experience.I am eager to read each of his posts cause not only he has great experience but he also has the gift to choose the best words to explain the things to others. There are also many others whose posts I love reading - Prager,Hexe,Joanro,GSDPack,Jenni78,Ibrahim and many, many others as each of them have taught me a lot.
However, you don´t want to listen or listen only something.Your statement about that 15 months old  Sch2 dog sold for 66 000 bucks proves it.No 15 months dog can be Sch2 titled. If you have the knowledge you try to present us,you should know this fact.

@ cage my info could have been a lil different the ppl where speakin german and when i heard the price i stopped listening.........and its not that i dont wanna listen, but some ppl dont know how to talk to ppl.......u are another one,     u come in here tellin ppl blah blah bs bsbbs, dont tell ppl what i want, will or wont do, u dont know me, and they dont need ur opinion, either some something worthly of helpin, or keep quiet, ur post was pointless, had no information didnt help me or anyone else. it was a waste of time, and u should have kept ur mouth closed........dont like my post QUITE READIN THEM..........i dont get defensive, i get irritated when ppl stick their nose in biz that aint theres, when i post some will help, some wont help, but the one who come jaw jappin just to pick a fight, and or talk sh&t, get on my nerves
