Just curious, did he pass any of it or did he throw it all up? Did the gram scale prove effective?

Hi,
Mostly it came up from the first end. I did weigh it ,again, great idea and it balanced out. None from the back end yet. I don't expect any with the weight of the pieces.
On a nice note, I called the kong company, told them of the adventure and the input I have gotten from you all. Here is what they said, the blue kongs are only available from a vet and normally they won't sell them otherwise .....but...they are very kind and sending me some for the brood.
they were very nice

One of my dogs ate 2 halves of a tennis ball and passed both a few days later. It's amazing what dogs can "process" from one end or the other. I've seen all sort of things removed from a dog's abdomen ranging from dentures to eyeglasses to choke chains to corn cobs to items of clothing. One of our patients, a black GSD police dog drop-out (also the meanest dog I ever saw), carried around a decomposed rubber toy for 1 1/2 years before his owner brought him to the vet I worked for. He decided to do an exploratory and there it was - a rubber porcupine inside his abdomen. The stench was just horrible. Good thing your dog got rid of all the Kong on his own. Weighing the expelled pieces is a good idea, I'd never have thought of that.

www.elitek9.com and a host of others have them.
Kong company is nice though. You can get refills for the floating kongs real cheap too.
