Have you tried what vom brunhaus suggested- putting tranquilizers in some really yummy cooked beef?

Couldn't you bait the trap and then watch for her?
I think if you threw some beef in there it wouldn't take long.

Oddly, this exact same thing happened to me about 20 years ago, I also called her "Gypsy" (believe it or not!), and since it was summer, we lived out in the boondocks, and I had plenty of time, I would take food every day to the "spot", and I'd place the food in the same place, would then move about 50ft away and just sit quietly and watch her. After the first couple days she'd come eat while I sat quietly watching, and I'd talk to her while she ate. this went on for about a month, but I'd sit a foot or so closer every couple days. And then just out of the blue one day about 6 weeks into the "ordeal" I was up to about 15ft away, and after she ate, she calmly approached ME and that was that, she instantly bonded to me, followed me home, and was a wonderful dog for many years to come! Good luck!!!!!!!!

I have not seen her for 3 days now. I am getting ready to drive down the road very shortly.
With a 3 day week-end, all the city people were around. I can only hope she belonged to one of them and they retreived her.
I also put a couple of adds out about her. I really hope some one found her or took her back home.
I'm calling the dog pounds too today. We recently were devastated by flooding all along the Susquehanna River. The dog pounds are full of "dumped and abandoned" dogs. Very Sad.

I have not seen this poor girl for over a week now. I have checked the local dog pounds and called the dog catcher. No one seems to have seen her, and definately, NO ONE reported her missing.
I asked all around the block(which is about 8 miles)and no one has seen her.I am still on the look-out. I can only hope she has found someone to take her in!

I was not able to catch her, and she just disappeared.
I can only hope that her owner came and found her or some other kind person that was also feeding her, caught her and took her home.
I checked out all the local animal shelters(I live on the border of 3 counties), and she was not there.
I did put several ads out about her, so I really hope she was rescued. I searched miles for her, and no one seen her.
I did try!
