Councilman threatened for stance against Pit Bulls - Page 3

 I don't think anyone was defending the councilman at all; we were just saying that threatening someone is never very productive, and is usually in fact counterproductive.  He sure has a way with words though, and I can't believe the utter ignorance of someone with the fancy letters "Dr." as a prefix. Huskies too? Seriously? This is all just a leg-up for PETA freaks who wish to abolish pet ownership entirely. SLIPPERY, SLIPPERY SLOPE we're on!!!

Felloffher, not sure what a bully is, but I've heard of a Camaro and I think I may have even seen one in a bad neighborhood before when I made a wrong turn.

 So thankful I live in a state that does not ban specific breeds, but individual dogs for their behavior.  It's not the breed of the dog so much as it is the environment it is in.  

 As to environment, yes and no. ANY dog can be responsibly or irresponsibly handled/managed, but the old adage "it's all how you raise them" is only half right. Genetics is HUGE in determining temperament.

Same old story, ignorant people trying to determine what should or should not exist. The bad part is people that would not have a clue about what a good or bad dog is,already have a preconcieved idea that pitbulls are just a danger to society. If they would do some research they would realize that good pit breeders from the beginning have culled (killed) Human aggresive dogs because it is the first signes  of inherant gameness in the breed deterioating. In other words not game .  It is not the breed but all the dipsticks that get into them because they think it makes them bad. Not much differant than alot of these guys getting GSDs. hank
