Kurt, I didn't have to look anything up. I'm sure Alex is on the cover of one of the old UScA mags next to the toilet.
I don't know what your attitude is about. Don't know where I stuck my foot in my mouth either.
And, bye the way, I don't consider myself a breeder. Last decade, I did breed a few litters and 50% of the males are working dual purpose and the others are all titled in SchH. Have any been Universal sieger? No. I tip my hat to ya. I guess you can fault me for being one of those that have further split the breed. My main focus was on working ability. Yeah, I'm partially to blame, but I can rest easily at night knowing that my dogs have saved their handlers lives, have stopped criminals and make this world a safer place. But it would be cool to know one of my dogs won a ribbon.

Thank you AandA for your information. OGBS put me on the right track to further my knowledge on this subject. As for jenni78. Yes I found what I was hearing from this lady disturbing. But I personally found it apalling that I post this subject and the first thing I get is a smart remark followed by humorous laughter on my post. Then he replies again basically telling don't worry about it & fix the problem....wtf. And now wonders why I copped an attitude with him....lmao. maybe he should think before he replies to someones post. And as for your dual purpose saving lives & catching criminals blah blah blah dogs you produced Mr. Corleone.....LET'S GET REAL. The biggest accomplishment those dogs did was probbably busting some 17yr old kid with a bag of marijuana in his pocket....lmao. and by the way. ALEX has placed on the podium in regional events. Not just a ribbon winner. As far as universal sieger goes his litter was not bred for the intention of structure. His mother kkl 2 all the way...I to am only worried about health & working ability. I am currently awaiting a pup from the TIEKERHOOK kennel. As far as I am concerned this post is closed to further discussion on my part. Sincerely. Kurt Hill

Kurt, I'm not done. Do some actual research on the date I gave you. I actually was civil and gave you credit for your accomplishments until you became rude. You posted on the history of the breed and my contention is that you can't change the past, so fix the future.
Pedro deserves some credit. Job well done. But to discredit what my dogs have done, is funny.

Let's squash it. I'm sure they are fine dogs you bred & ALL the credit of alex's accomplishments go to pedro jiminez. I too have had a cple dogs in the police dept. Not hat big of deal. There are thousands of them....I apologize for my attitude but it wasn't a joke to me and that was what you made mypost out to be. You know it & I know it. Who said anything about changing the past? I sure didn't. All I wanted was more information on the split and who the major breeders was on both sides of the fence at this time. Maybe you should go back and read my orignal post. Bottom line was I could not believe I talked to a person whom has a website & is breeding dogs VERY CLOSE to where I live and did not know they existed. I called them and asked where they were training & invited them to visit our club. That says a lot of my character as very few people nowadays would even do such a thing. As we spoke further she kept referring to her dogs as "west german".........nevmind. yeah this woman is under the impression that. All working line dogs come from ddr or czech. I stated that before the wall came down there was 2 distinct lines of shepherds. Working & show and left it at that. As I hung the phone up I couldn't bbelieve what I had just heard. As I thought about this I got very curious as to when this actually occurred and who were the major breeders on both sides at this time for my own personal knowledge. It is something i never gave much thought on as I only care for working line dogs. I found myself in a position wanting to explain something to someone and really didn't have the knowledge to do so. That's all. Therefore I posted this to get more info on the subject. You were the self proclaimed smartass who replied.........as far as I'm concerned let's just leave it at that. Its over. Sincerely. Kurt Hill as I see no need to hide behind fictitious names and will speak my mind and give my opinion. But you will never see me make a joke of someones post who is asking for advice & or knowlege.

Ok, we'll leave it at that, but I never said PJ deserves ALL the credit. I said, "some".
As to the fictitious name, some of us have jobs that require privacy. I don't have an account on Bookface, either.

I give pj all the credit & am very fortunate that alex wound up in his hands. There are many good dogs out there that if were owned by someone else would be recognized. There is a bastin kokeltal son in our club that went through 3 owners before my friend got him. He didn't get him till he was darn near 4yrs old. A very serious dog with true power. The kind many of us strive for. He just got his. Sch 1 and and he will be 8 yrs old in the spring. If this dog would have been in our club from the start he would most certainly be a 3. Like I said I was just very fortunate that pj got him and campaigned him.
